Alienware really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
Obviously, the best course of action is to build your own PC, though if you're traveling, I think the Alpha qualifies as "the next best thing"
Alienware isn't terrible, its that its massively overpriced to the point of the brand being an outright joke. Something that pretty much only fools really buy into.
[editline]10th June 2017[/editline]
"God, this is expensive, that means its high quality" doesn't matter in PC building. In fact, going excessive pretty much has an instant drop off point that is way more steep than other hobbies.
The worst gamer in the world is one who is running a game at 1080p with 4x DSR enabled acting like its the same thing as 4k, on SLI titans using exclusively razor peripherals on an alien ware that he installed a 200billion watt PSU on with gold cords while overclocking it all with liquid helium
also he has a a 7.1 headset. The worst of it all.

I feel like the sauce being bad has nothing to do with whether or not the wings were boneless
If you go to an actual good wing spot that knows their wings, boneless wings are the way to go. So good
Kingdom Heart's plot is not that hard to follow.
Just do this if you want the plot and amazing combat:
-KH1
-KHII
-KH: Birth by Sleep
-DDD (Dream Drop Distance aka 2.5)
Play these if you want to know a bit more of some of the villains and side characters, but won't affect the series story in the long run and sort of okay gameplay:
-358/2 Days
-Chain of Memories (Used to play this before KHII, but the sequel's opening and DDD makes this unnecessary)
Nah, there's companies out there who make prebuilts at a better price point, but even then I wouldn't bother.
For a long time I was okay with the idea of buying a prebuilt so long as it wasn't outrageously poor in value, but talking to some friends and doing some research I've found that there's really zero justification for buying a rebuilt except maaaaaaybe saving on shipping.
Alienware takes the marking up to such an extreme and there's absolutely nothing proprietary about what the offer making it a pretty scummy business since they're basically just profiting off ignorance.
Gaming prebuilts are pretty much a rip-off, but there's merit towards buying a Dell office prebuilt and putting a graphics card in it. I still wouldn't do it, but I could understand why someone who doesn't know as much about PCs would.
There's some decently priced and well made prebuilts out there
There's some decently priced and well made prebuilts out there
I've had a pre-built for around 7 years now. This was because I was a kid and didn't have much knowledge on PC building nor did I want to risk my parent's/my money.
The only thing I've replaced is the graphics card and motherboard. The most important part of a pre-built is a good-sized case for any adjustments.
portlandia sketches are only funny when you describe them
there's one where steve buscemi plays a celery enthusiast. but celery isn't fashionable because everyone loves beets, so he has to work behind the scenes with a shady figure, and create a big pro-celery conspiracy. sounds fucking hilarious in my opinion, but it didn't even get a smile out of me when i watched it
Paid mods aren't a bad idea.
Paid mods can only be good if it's reputable developers working with the game developer and mod developers can't make their current mods into things you have to pay for.
So really, Creation Club nailed the only way I'm not going to be angry at. It's a microtransaction marketplace I can gladly ignore because as of right now I'm not losing anything by ignoring it.
Americans acting like 'cunt' is the absolute worst possible insult you can throw at a woman sounds both hilarious and pathetic to me.

*High quality vetted paid mods that aren't left to rot and are moderately priced aren't a bad idea.
I'd be happy to buy something like Fallout: Project Brazil and Fallout: The Frontier.
Paid mods aren't a bad idea.
It's ultimately a question of whether you want more or less control as a consumer over what things a developer may attempt to create/include in their products.
There's a lot of cool things that get shot down completely in meetings and so forth with those holding purse strings who argue 'there's no data that anyone would buy that'. If that's something you as a consumer might like to correct (e.g. "Fallout should have a 'survival mode' which makes the game harsher, includes weather effects, and so on." or "I'm fine with the main quest having a day timer which means you can fail it if you run out of time.") then the best voice you can give for those things is money spent from your wallet.
I've sat in meetings where ideas like those get shot down routinely because 'the data (read: money) isn't there' and nobody wants to trust polling people who say 'sure, I'd buy that!' when saying they would when it costs them nothing is different from when the thing finally comes on sale and they go 'eh'.
what is "DLC"
What is 'particular DLC may never be created by a developer so long as there isn't a known market willing to put out cash for it'?
If you can't afford to make mods for free... Don't?

[sp]I think the CGI for Tarkin was convincing given the area he was in and given enough time so that the Ucanny valley could sink in. Granted he'd probably look horrible when placed in a well lit environment, for what was given I was utterly convinced. I had forgotten that Cushing died many years ago and the guy who played him sounded and acted the part really well.[/sp]

I think you get my point about how you sound. You also don't have to buy something if you don't want to, there will still be people making free mods that you can enjoy.
Just tell people to ignore how it negatively effects them for no real benefit to them, nice. Shocker, some people prefer mods to be a free, accessible to everyone and not clamped down upon by corporate. Paid mods are exploitative and irreversible imposition upon modders and users.
"we're just going to set a massive precedent in this space that's blossomed under free content and sharing, lol just deal with it you people who have all to lose from this and nothing to gain lelele"
Negatively affects them? Nothing to gain? Do you actually have some good evidence or reasons to believe that other than speculation based on either A. Nothing or B. kneejerking about how EVIL DA CORPORATE ARE.
I find the positive or much more neutral result more likely. Modders being able to make a living off of what they do can allow for much higher quality mods as they can justify dedicating more time towards it. If a mod does not have enough value to sell, it either won't be sold or it will fail. Making modding more official as well will encourage Bethesda to work more closely with mods which could too be VERY beneficial. Modding can often be a hacky mess because the given tools are inadequate or not documented adequately.
If someone kills himself/herself over bullying,it's his/her fault for being weak and not doing something.
I can kinda see where you are coming from I think, but I disagree overall. It is true that at the end of the day, the person who committed suicide was weak, but you gotta understand that what made them that weak was the bullying. The point is that they were bullied so much that their will broke, and while many people are capable of extraordinary feats of resilience emotionally and physically, you cannot expect everyone to be so strong.
The Bethesda Creation Club is much better than the original Valve paid mods
