It's far more responsible for the lobbying that keep things where they are now.

Lobbying isn't inherently bad anyhow, it's out of control and requires much stricter rules, but in principle there's nothing wrong with it. Writing to your representative counts as lobbying.

H. P. Lovecraft is overrated as fuck. His prose is pretty dull most of the time, and a lot of the horror elements that people jerk over basically boils down to 'omg i saw a black person and it was so scary i cant describe it it was so awful :(' and then people on the internet have a jerk over it because Cthulu has become a pop-culture fixation that they can market and sell you shit based on.

However, I do like his slow and overly wordy prose for what it is - both descriptive and viscous in the way it flows.

I absolutely hate the sound of soft, quiet voices whispering in my ear. It's grating and feels super invasive. I watch the standard ASMR video and go "ugh I fucking hate this" and close out of it. This type of voice is actually going to prevent me from ever playing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice because there's so much of it that instead of listening to what's happening I'm going "shut the FUCK UP holy SHIT" the [I]entire[/I] game because while seemingly everyone else gets a sense of calm and relaxation from it I just get incredibly irritated and wish they'd have just gone with a standard three-feet-away-conversation indoor-voice narration.

Total Biscuit is over-rated, unfunny and obnoxious. I used to watch his older videos to see how well PC settings are for a game plus some gameplay. Now its mostly 30-60 mins of him yapping about bullshit.

You really don't even need to know too much about how to properly design experiments to understand how full of shit his thesis was. He also pretty much only got accepted into the program because his parents are rich. I swear to god if Sam Harris didn't spend his time saying religion (and mostly Islam) are evil and bad, he wouldn't have anywhere close to the amount of followers he does right now.

I feel like people don't realize that stuff that most often pisses people off isn't one big bang of a conflict, it's the dust growing into clumps that grow exponentially. Nothing that pisses someone off lacks some manner of background to it. Sure big events are the most apparent and easiest to understand, but the largest pains are when the scars from it are developing.

Plus the main reason I like the series is because I think a lot of it could make for a really good TRPG in the realm of turnbased or real time strategy.

Game of Thrones is winding down and while it's getting to what will probably be a grand ending, it's for necessity tightened and concluded plots causing it to not feel as open ended as it once was.

So I finally found out why I couldn't get into Rick and Morty; I don't like Morty's voice. Granted I thought the actor was fine as Lemongrab in Adventure Time, but he was a villain that had like sparse appearances. Morty's there the whole way through and I can't stand it when he opens his mouth. I just find it so grating that I can't get into the show.
