Computer science and physics is full of straight up fuckin nerds and makes all the normal people studying science look bad.

Shitpostbot isn't funny. It literally just stitches two random photos together from templates its given and posts them every half an hour, and the majority of them are misses that aren't even coherent. I have no idea why FP (and others) are so impressed by it.

I think I need to state in advance that I hate Donald Trump, and I'm still on the fence over Brexit but Nigel Farage can fuck off. That said, I think it's incredibly rude to look at people who voted for Trump & Brexit and go "mhm, must be a racist". My parents voted for Brexit and they definitely didn't do it because they're racist or because they're idiots. Trump is a vile man but I don't think society should be going "if you voted for him, you're a racist and xenophobic!!!". Maybe they voted because they disliked Hillary more? Who knows, but the point is we shouldn't attack people for how they vote because what does that say about democracy? "You have the right to vote....but you're a terrible person if you vote a way we don't agree with".
.
In Britain, it's objectively better for the overwhelming majority of people to never vote Tory. So if you do vote Tory, you're either stupid, a cunt, or one of the millionaires that benefits (and still a cunt). Brexit was a thing where every expert said "It would be fucking daft to leave" and the answer was "we've had enough of experts" I think voting trump is a little more naunced, so no comment there, but britain's got a bunch of thick-as-shit people to have such close votes.

You shouldn't be verbally abused because you voted for a specific party or in a way that would be deemed 'unpopular'. If you vote Tory, even if I don't agree with their manifesto and general approach to politics, I respect that people have the right to do so. You don't become an idiot. You're just someone with a different opinion to me.

No- Don't fucking vote Tory Yes-<Are you a cunt?> No-Don't vote Tory Yes-Consider voting Lib-Dems
"A broken clock is right twice a day." the fact that many people take this as a positive appraisal of the properties of a broken clock should give you your answer
But that's kinda the point They're mostly random images that make no sense so it's funny when the bot generates something coherent
we legit taught a machine how to shitpost
Computer science and physics is full of straight up fuckin nerds and makes all the normal people studying science look bad.
im no social butterfly but talking to a lot of my fellow engineering majors at my university has significantly boosted my confidence on the subject, nerds are generally the most mean-spirited and judgemental group of people you will meet. in fact, jocks nowadays tend to be the most laid-back and friendly people
we legit taught a machine how to shitpost
We didn't really, all we did was gave it images which could be used in a funny way, and left it to make combinations out of those images, and alot of the time, the pictures it generates aren't that good
we legit taught a machine how to shitpost
In the same way a graphing calculator knows and understands math.
People who believe peace is the only answer to international relations are amongst the most delusional people out there.
Plain, black coffee is disgusting. It smells good but tastes like bitter water. I wonder how other people's taste buds function when they drink that stuff.
Coffee's just gross in general. Caffeine is just as bad as getting addicted to cocaine, just as hard to let go, and the energy provided can only do so much before you crash or worse. Just stick to water.
The trend of sticking articles you don't like into archive websites for others to read them without supplying ad revenue/views is pretty unethical, and is likely to backfire hard eventually, leaving archive websites much more weak legally.
A bullet's probably going to fly through my window for this but my incredibly unpopular opinion of the day is that I'd rather have an additional 10 threads a day in SH/PD by Tudd if it means I never have to see another avatar/post complaining about Tudd again. I mean jeez people the guy is practically just a right side news bot who seems to mainly stick to SH/PD. As someone who rarely enters any of the general facepunch sections other than Media/TV, OIFY, and occasionally SH/PD/NB (I mainly stick to the gaming subforums), literally the only times I even see Tudd referenced is when someone's got a title/avatar regarding him or he gets occasionally referenced in a thread (or in the rare times I take a trip to the forums discussion thread).
just as hard to let go
Depends on who you are. I have no draw to caffeine. If I'm buying soda for my personal use, I get zero-calorie no-caffeine shit because I'm buying Coke Zero anyway so I might as well get no-caffeine as well. I've been buying and drinking Rockstar energy drinks, but that's literally only because they're doing a Destiny 2 promo and I get engrams in it when it finally fucking launches on PC. I regularly drink a shitton of green tea, but it's not because it keeps me awake or anything, it's just because I love the taste of it and it's ridiculously cheap to buy and keep myself stocked. If I could get caffeine-free green tea, I'd do it in a heartbeat, because it does nothing for me and I don't need nor want it.
Computer science and physics is full of straight up fuckin nerds and makes all the normal people studying science look bad.
Oi mate, we've been here first, get a movin'. Speaking of, the most annoying people I had to deal with in CompSci back in college were these weird bros, who'd like go to the comp lab and talk about exercising, going to parties, and generally acting like they walked into the wrong building, much less wrong room.
I have nothing against Asian culture, but I don't like anime music, c-pop, j-pop, k-pop or most music that comes from Asia.
I'd rather have RE4's unexpected cutscene QTEs than Tomb Raider's "unnecessarily hold W for twenty seconds to keep the cutscene moving" any day. With the former, I die and have to start just outside the cutscene. With the latter, I'm sitting there, completely unengaged, going "jfc can you hurry up and climb so I get get back to playing the game"
Teacher, "Welcome to the first day of this class! Let's go around the class and say something interesting about ourselves!" Translation, "Let's create a pointless nightmare moment for socially awkward people for hardly any reason! Let's talk about things no one will remember or care about as well as the possibility of looking stupid when you speak! Some of you have nothing interesting to talk about but oh well!" Even worse when the teacher asks you questions about what you just said, when you want to just stop and sit down to end the moment. It's a macroeconomincs class where we never get into groups. Half the class will forget my name and the fact that "I went water tubing dis summer and it wuz fun!!"
1) Buggy/airboat portions of Half-Life 2 are generally really enjoyable. 2) Wolfenstein: New Order is a mediocre game. 3) James Cameron's Avatar is a good movie, on par with Aliens and Terminator 2.
Fallout>>>>>>>>>>Elder Scrolls
This is only true because New Vegas exists, and wasn't made by Bethesda. Bethesda have made actually good TES games (eg Morrowind) but haven't really made any good Fallouts.
anime is fucking trash [editline]30th September 2017[/editline] sry wrong thread
Fallout/Elder scrolls is really a case-by-case basis kinda thing. I think they've both gotten worse as time's gone on. F1's more focused than F2 TES III's more focused than TES II TES 1 is shit but otherwise it's all downhill
I really don't give a shit about a TV show or whatever that has some huge fictional universe and lore about it, like, it's not something I really see as a reason to watch it, especially if the show or movie isn't really that amazing (like with Star Wars and Game of Thrones). Also it's really lame when nerds obsess over lore and shit and think that it's cool because they know the fucking entire history of the Jedi or some nerd shit like that. Like why would you give a shit about all that when it's not even real some dickhead just made it up?
