The only thing stopping a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke
can we not
Doubt you could anyway
Battlefront 2 has pretty good gameplay.
Battlefront 2 2005 is obviously better but I think people are letting their hatred of EA's scummy practices cloud their judgement of the actual gameplay itself.
I dont think many people say it doesnt have good gameplay, its just that star card lootboxes are cancer

Which tbh is fair
I think if a game company is being that scummy then they deserve it to affect them in every way possible

Considering the game's balance is tied to the lootboxes, I don't think people are wrong.
Lúcio is the best hero in OW because reasons.
Fam I don't think that's unpopular by any definition of the word.
But everyone tries to tell me different.
I believe in the idea of separating the art from the artist.
I believe in the idea of separating the art from the artist.
It depends, I think.
Look at Orson Scott Card, for example. Piece of shit human. But a good author and I do love his books. If a director I enjoyed the work of was outed as a piece of shit I'd still be able to enjoy their films.
Actors are different. I'll never not be able to dissociate Bill Cosby's face from his actions, for example. I think there's an inherent difference and it relies on how visible the artist is in their own work.
I believe in the idea of separating the art from the artist.
I feel like the artists opinion is the preferred opinion, but a piece of art can have several interpretations that the artist never intended and the artist loses most of their control once the release it to the public.
I believe in the idea of separating the art from the artist.
Depends if they're dead or not. If they're alive and uses their fame to spread their horrible opinions then I wouldn't support them unless they change their opinions.

Of course. What I am more referring to is when the artist is a "bad" person but their work captures the imagination of many. I.E Alice in Wonderland
Attraction, preferences, kinks and fetishes shouldn't be what defines a person, thus passing judgement on people for them, unless indulging in them causes actual harm to a real person, is shit.
You should only judge a person for their actions. Live and let live. Who cares if they have a really weird kink.

As long as they don't bang on about it, sure
As long as they don't bang on about it, sure
Yeah, that's another thing.
Making your "thing" your identity is equally as harmful to yourself. Because then you pretty much is close to dehumanizing yourself.
I believe in the idea of separating the art from the artist.
regarding the recent events about many sex scandals happening nowadays, I follow this philosophy
I wont stop loving Spacey's character in American Beauty, or Louis CK's gigs and bits. they're people, they fuck up really bad, now they'll get what they deserve and then some
Depends if they're dead or not. If they're alive and uses their fame to spread their horrible opinions then I wouldn't support them unless they change their opinions.
This is my stance on it as well. I think that you need to be responsible about supporting people like that, either by giving them support financially or through giving them a larger platform to disseminate their beliefs. I'm entirely content separating artists from their artwork, but often times it can be difficult to do so because of that and because often times the artist directly informs the artwork and our perception of it. I don't blame anyone who can't separate the two because of that.

If you're trying to throw in a sarcastic joke, try not putting it right in the middle of serious complaining.
I was more talking about not getting the slashed comments. I know the second one was a Valve jab, but I didn't get the other ones.

Oh, they're all Valve jabs. Mostly to do with TF2 promotions over the years.
Battlefront 2 looks like a fun game
i don't think that people have been complaining about the core gameplay. it's absolutely gorgeous and looks like a lot of fun. people just have issue with everything else, because everything else is abysmal
I don't understand how anyone could find sports management sims fun. It's all the fun of doing the paperwork with none of the fun of playing the game itself or getting paid.
Yet, the ones I'm looking at are all Very/Mostly Positive on Steam and officially licensed because I guess they do well enough to keep that going every year.

Because different people enjoy different things? This isn't a difficult concept at all.
Super Mario 2:
Reskinned Doki Doki Panic > Glorified Kaizo Level Pack
Overwatch isn't that fun, TF2 is a much better game even in its current state
They're both not good for their own unique individual reasons. It's an interesting case study imo.
You can wear whatever you want, don't let me stop you, but I don't think I've ever seen any application of leopard print or similar patterns that has ever looked anything other than dreadfully hideous
4 years later, I still think we are due for an apology from Nippon Ichi Software regarding Cladun X2, because it's pretty dumb that Sega of Japan is banking their future PC support on a mobile game.
