avgn appealed to me as a teen, so did nostalgia critic. i grew out of enjoying the avgn a while ago, and it's really nice to see james rolfe grew as a creator as well and started making more mature videos with out-of-character commentary. then i look at the nostalgia critic and it's like he's forever stuck in 2006 limbo
I think 99.2% of all music made today is rubbish.
I think 99.2% of all music made today is rubbish.
this is honestly just ignorant. we live in a time where there is so much good music being made in every possible genre, genres that didn't even exist a couple of years ago
if you think music is bad you aren't looking.
I think 99.2% of all music made today is rubbish.
Well, yeah, if you spend no time at all looking for music, sure.
i'd argue that 2014 and 2015 are some of the best years for music in decades. so many incredible albums, i don't understand how you can just make a blanket statement like that
can you give us some examples of what kind of music you DO like
I don't get why people defend PewDiePie beyond the view that it set a precedent for YouTube to fuck things up further, though YouTube's cacophony of bullshit was always happening and growing long before any of the shit that hit the fan this year.

I have tried, many times. Please belive me.
I think 99.2% of all music made today is rubbish.
I mean it's probably true if you're being literal and really do include all music, even little children banging xylophones n stuff.
Why .2 tho??? Most people making these statements would just say 99% or 99.99% lmao

I like precise numbers.
Anyway, to be honest there are some good music out there, that's why I didn't go full 100.
I have tried, many times. Please belive me.
If you have tried many times looking for good music and you aren't talking out of your ass, there's two options here. 1, good music might as well not exist or 2, you just don't like any music.
Which of the two do you think is more likely?
Christmas is a very overrated holiday, at least from my experiences. I'm sure people have had really good or really bad Christmas experiences, but all of mine have just been 'eh' - forgettable, honestly.
christmas can suck my ass
christmas brings out the worst in me
I like Christmas just because of the gifts, but im getting older and those things are each time more rare.
I do like the turkey we eat tho, a nothing of that stuffed turkey crap.

i find that hard to believe. even if you enjoy literally no modern sounds, you can always google "bands that sound like classic rock/80s pop/70s funk/etc" and get some pretty accurate results
I get very irrationally annoyed when people refer to music as "sounds"
I don't get the fear over firearms. I think people have enough logic to know, check and feel (read "telepathically and through paranoia") when a round is in the chamber. Even if you're paranoid, there's still a fire selector with a safe mode and you can always keep your finger off the trigger. It's called trigger discipline.
Unless you're being robbed at gunpoint or caught in the middle of a shootout, it's all smarts, hearts and minds, people.
Ezio and the Italy setting in Assassin's Creed really wasn't good enough to warrant 3 games. People rightfully shit on Assassin's Creed 3 but I'm so much more interested in the story because it's finally a new setting with a new cast.

People aren't that smart. My dad almost blew my mom away with a shotgun. When he went "oh come on look it's not even loaded" and fired it at the ceiling, he created a brand new hole.

I do the same when people refer to music without words as "songs".

What would you call it? A track?
What would you call it? A track?
Technically a 'piece' but it's pretty silly to get annoyed about it... tbh the same thing about the sounds thing. It is made out of sounds
What would you call it? A track?
Tracks, pieces, bops, tunes, ditties, numbers, jingles.
What would you call it? A track?
Either piece, work, or composition. If I'm referring to a specific artist's recording, I say recording or interpretation.
Im a total hipster, i never liked the nostalgia critic!
I liked Nostalgia Critic....
...when i was a shitty teenager and i had zero taste and watched literally anything and everything.
avgn appealed to me as a teen, so did nostalgia critic. i grew out of enjoying the avgn a while ago, and it's really nice to see james rolfe grew as a creator as well and started making more mature videos with out-of-character commentary. then i look at the nostalgia critic and it's like he's forever stuck in 2006 limbo
The guys over at Chanel Awesome don't have a creative bone in their body and half the time i see their stuff I'm reminded of 2007 Youtube.
I think 99.2% of all music made today is rubbish.
90% of all media is trash. The only reason so many people don't think that is that they don't try and sift though all of the crap.
I don't get birthdays
like sure its fun when you get wasted with your friends on your 21st but after a while birthdays are 'meh'
Want to research some tech before you buy it?
Better know portugese since nobody from the west has ever bought it
The "asshole/angry/apathetic critic" schtick has been explored and done to fuckin death and back and I find it very tired now. I have a difficult time with even Yahtzee now, and TotalBiscuit completely changed his persona in the last couple years, he's much more positive now and he's said he even wants to drop the "Cynical Brit" branding.
These days I love Dunkey as a humorous reviewer, because he's just so sincere and he doesn't hold back on gushing about things he loves and tearing the shit out of things he doesn't. And his goofy humor doesn't feel mean.
Y'know who REALLY needs to drop the act?

He tries so hard to be the "angry reviewer" when he just comes off as a asshole in video and IRL. AVGN and Nostalgia Critic have changed, but DSP has and never will.

after the childhood magic wore off i just use it as an excuse to get trashed and get presents so im fine with it
TotalBiscuit is a douche and his air of superiority makes him unbearable to watch
