I think Africa is a good song even if you listen to it unironically. It's just a good-feeling song.
and it's totally alright that you think that, i posted it here because i have yet to meet someone that agrees with me on it
Going back to TES games for a bit, I didn't like Oblivion at all when it came to either story or combat. Spells felt unimaginative and unfun to use, which made teching into a spellcaster a chore. As for the quests and story, I never got anything out of them, I dropped the main quest as soon as I was out of the sewers and the sidequests were just an excuse to explore. Skyrim felt much better to me than Oblivion, but it still wasn't great: Again, the main story didn't do a thing for me, but it was a lot more fun to explore the map and do sidequests, and combat was better in my eyes as well. I played it two or three times, forgetting it after a while every time, until I started playing with heavy amounts of mods, which actually made the game immensely fun for me.
Africa got me through a breakdown at the end of last semester lmfao so I have a special place in my heart for it.
other than that video of the guy sticking his dick into and electrical socket, what is with the obsession with this Africa song? I've heard it in its entirety many times at work when the radio's playing and it sounds like nothing special.
I dunno it's just kind of an ethereal sounding 80's song that sounds kinda nice.
fp has way too many people who play devils advocate full time
at some point you gotta wonder if it's purely to be controversial, or because they actually hold the opinions they defend
I've actually been to Africa, and was in a monsoon with someone I love but is no longer near me, so most of the songs value is sentimental, because I actually do miss the rains down in Africa.
I'm extremely not excited about this revival season of The Office, even as a huge fan of the series They managed to end it perfectly even after several seasons of mediocrity, why would they ruin that legacy
Did it take a lot to drag you away from them? Was there 100 men or more that could ever do anything about it?
My family dragged me back, but if I had to, I would have slain 101 men to stay in Africa, with her
SH and Polidicks posters are going completely overboard with their stance on news out of the US. Every piece of news coming from or remotely affiliated with the white house that doesn't have to do with Trump getting fucked is being seen as something to draw attention away. I don't doubt the republicans & white house is trying to distract from their clusterfuck but almost every newspiece has some "yo they tryin to distract us from da real shit" posts instead of discussing the actual article.
Daggerfall is the only good game in the Elder Scrolls series.
i might go through the rest of my life holding the opinion that the original dark souls is the best 'souls' game. it was my first and i played it the most so i might be biased as hell, but god damn i'll defend it to hell compared to the others. not saying the others are bad, but it appeals to me the most so its impossible to convince me otherwise. this may not seem like an 'unpopular opinion' but ive heard so many people say bloodborne is the best souls game ever made
no other souls game has reached the firelink-undead parish-blighttown-newlondo-catacombs level of level design porn yet

I like that DS has been more of a slower-paced type series compared to the frantic, quick pace of BB. One of the reasons I easily, without a second thought, will tell you that I think Dark Souls 3 is easily the worst DS game I've played is because it feels like it tried to unnecessarily bridge the pace gap, and I think they did a pretty shitty job with it. Obviously if you gave me the choice of either playing DS or BB I'd pick one over the other, but the same could be said for Battlefield and Call of Duty, which also have very different design philosophies. It's just "which first-person multiplayer-focused militarized shooter do you prefer, the big open vehicular bullet-physics sandbox or the close-quarters hitscan arcade shooter," only in this case it's made by the same developers and the main differences are the speeds in which everything moves, ignoring the thematic change between the world of DS and the world of BB. [editline]a[/editline] I'm actually sitting here trying to decide whether I prefer DS1 or BB and I honestly can't decide. I think maybe DS1, but that's probably because it's 2 AM and I'm feeling like a slower game would be better right now. Pump me full of caffeine at noon and I'll probably give a different answer.
I think this will be the millionth time of me saying this, but DS2 (and SotFS) is my favorite Souls game and, despite me really loving them, think BB and DS3 are overrated. Like I said, not bad, but not as amazing people let on imo.
this consumerist trend needs to die just because the newest iphone came out does not mean you need it over the iphone you bought just a year ago, and no you will not be "cool" just because you have it, you are not doing yourself a favor by wasting money on things you do not need, and you are not doing the environment a favor either re-use and recycle your shit too please, and sell instead of throwing away even if you will not get very much money for it, at least somebody else can use it
...What? You have to explain this further. What is CND?
I already agreed to it-- the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.
Still think the halo and golden wrench shit were some of Valve's dumbest moves ever. Bringing out the nastiest in players. Ugh.
yo fuck you if youre a picky eater life isnt just grilled cheese sandwiches and chicken tendies i will destroy you also before any of you go "b-but it doesn't affect you!" It always does try hanging out in a group of 5-7 people there wil always be one of them fuckers and someone will go "hey lets get thai food fellas" and theyll go "sowwy, that has too many non salt spices for me" so youll be like "alright lets order pizza then" and youll all want a good fuckin pizza with lots of ingredients and the picky eater will be like "noo i will throw a fit over this and not pitch in at all" so you and your boys will be forced to also order pepperoni or cheese and we all know those are the worst 2 kinds of pizza
I wish a lot of things I like or liked with huge annoying fan bases (Dark Souls, Undertale, Fnaf) had stayed unpopular and niche, and I feel guilty for saying that because their creators deserve recognition. Not to avoid their annoying fan base, I can deal with that. But to avoid those who write them off due to the fans reaction. I know how it feels to have something rambled about in your ear forever, it can drain any interest you had in it.
Whenever we talk about rape, popular sentiment today says that the first step when dealing with a rape victim is "you have to believe them". I think this is wrong. I think that you need to be judicial about any crime. Imagine if we said the same thing about people who accuse others of murder, or theft? I still think there's such a thing as innocent until proven guilty. Take any case where a student seeks disciplinary action by their university against an alleged rapist, like in Columbia, or recently a case I saw at ASU. The alleged rapist received no punishment or a small punishment, and buzzfeed or nowthis will always make it out like some crime against humanity has occurred. The reality is that we can't punish people without a fair trial, and maybe even more importantly, a University has no business trying to punish an alleged rapist: they don't have the judicial authority, they are not impartial (they may have the incentive to expell a student to appear safer to other students, or to not expell a student because he's a star athlete), and finally: rape is not a disciplinary issue, it's a crime, and any report of sexual assault to a university should be referred to two offices: campus police, and mental health counseling, but the university should not be getting involved in a criminal accusation
I still think we need more console sized PCs than we do "gaming" laptops. Yes, you're still using notebook graphics for both, but the money not spent on the battery is money spent on a better graphics card. (And chances are, your notebook will be immobile when you're gaming anyways)

Believing someone when say they were raped is not the same as condemning the accused. You can be supportive of someone who claims to have been raped and not immediately demonize their alleged attacker at the same time.
fuck yogcast

Personally, I'm extremely texture-sensitive and nothing I've done has managed to change that no matter how hard I try. Believe me, you think I dont want to try and enjoy all of the amazing food that's out there? That I don't despise the situation of not being able to enjoy going out to eat to certain places and getting judged by people for not eating certain things that I physically can't handle? My intense aversion to certain foods fucking sucks and I hate it
I dont know if it's unpopular but ed sheeran looks slightly deformed I feel bad for him
