TBBT is the perfect background noise. Most sitcoms already do a good job in fulfilling that role, but the key difference that sets apart TBBT from the rest of its class is that Im never compelled to actually watch it
The first one is just wrong
The second one is only untrue to an extent because people have really stretched what is and isn't an 'opinion' to an extreme. The phrase 'theres no such thing as a wrong opinion' is more applicable to something much more simple, subjective, and one-dimensional like "I like vanilla ice cream more than chocolate" as opposed to "I think that all Muslims are evil".
I guess it depends on if you consider statements that can be proven factually wrong by gathering and comparing data due to the statement being made up entirely of quantitative and/or qualitative elements "opinions."
Not one teacher since I was in preschool has, and neither have I, but multiple dictionary definitions seem to disagree.

This annoys me, because either this is a semi-recent development or I've been incorrect for a little over a decade at least.
"I think the sky is green. You can't say I'm wrong, because it's like, my opinion, man!"
I don't like the gift giving part of Christmas because I'm not a big fan of obligated gifts
I like the LOTR movies better than the books, so far. Fellowship is the most boring book I've ever read

Fellowship is a slog but it gets better in the second book

For Christmas I gave a $30 gift card and received a $30 giftcard

The family and I find it really annoying when stores already put up Christmas stuff before Halloween is even over.

That's why I hate Christmas
The ads come in fucking october ffs
systemd is the worst thing ever that has happened to the linux ecosystem. According to the peabrain devs every bug isn't their fault and everyone should have to work around it and "WONTFIX". I've never had so many issues with this cluserfuck of an "init" system. It should have strictly stayed an init system, but nope, gotta creep into and take over everything
I don't get why people are excited for Psychonauts 2 when you consider Space Base DF-9 and Broken Age's respective controversies.
I don't get why people are excited for Psychonauts 2 when you consider Space Base DF-9 and Broken Age's respective controversies.
I think getting hyped is a mistake, but there's reason to be cautiously optimistic. What they've shown so far looks good, Eric Wolpaw is writing, and the VR game, despite being closer to a point and click adventure, felt precisely how a Psychonauts game should feel.
I was burned hard by DFA and DF9, but even as cynical as I am about it, It's still a sequel to one of my all time favorite games. I wouldn't say I'm "excited" but I can't help but at least be interested.
Didn't find that Superbad movie as funny as everyone else did. It also had some tasteless "let's say the word 'fuck' as much as possible!" parts.
I just put money

For some reason, people don't like giving money and i have no idea why.
Joe Rogan is a twat that has no idea what he's talking about pretty much ever
Joe Rogan is a twat that has no idea what he's talking about pretty much ever
From what people who like him say (in my experience) that's what they like, that he shuts up and lets the """"smart"""" people talk.

That seems to have stopped lately. My dad is listening to one in the same room right now and he has two guests but he's talking more than either of them combined. And he's pushing a fucking annoying anti-feminism and misinformed transphobia agenda that's pissing me the hell off.
For some reason, people don't like giving money and i have no idea why.
Because even if that's exactly what they want it feels like half-assing a gift and copping out unless something creative is done along with it, and unless the person specifically asked for money or a giftcard, they were probably already idea bankrupt to begin with, meaning "creative" likely won't be the case.

that's just annoying. it's all the stress and chaos that really gets to me. it doesn't help that the idea christmas is supposed to be a perfect time of joy and happiness make every mistake and inconvenience hurt 10x worse, though that part may just be me.

this is probably the first post in this thread that has actually entered my heart and made me mad

Anyone who's a moon hoaxer definitely has no idea how anything works.

There are a very few amount of people i would trust with giving cash, and I've never liked a gift that people have given me because people want to either surprise me or get creative and completely ignore anything that I've been interested in over whatever idea that they've had in their head because they feel like the "creative" or "feeling like they're the type of people who can read other people really well but can't" type of person.
Plus, if it comes to a terrible situation, I'd rather have the cash to help fix it.

Rogan doesn't actually push for transphobia. If anything, he's neutral about trans issues and he will say he supports them on what they do and "let people be people, man".
He is a bit of a meathead though and sometimes uses terms that might be seen offensive but it's more because of how he's uninformed(which he admits to) about the whole thing.
