Pewdiepie has kinda gone straight back down in quality like after he went all self aware things were good for a pretty decent while but for the past while he's been so extremely samey his channel just consists of let's plays where he hammers the same jokes in your head (0 DEATHS, CHRISTIAN CHANNEL), mindlessly rambling about whatever's trendy like hating the rick and morty fandom or net neutrality with no real point, and reacting to memes and clips that other people made (and I don't like it)
In all seriousness I don't really hate them, I just dont see whats so special about them. I'm just a bit surprised their fans talk about them in a real serious manner when to me they're just a band with some catchy songs, they're no more impressive than other bands I know that make decent music and are popular like i dunno, red hot chilli peppers but nobody talks about them, but a lot of people like gorillaz? what am i missing?
I think they have a pretty unique sound and I enjoy how they work in collaborations from other artists And it can't really be understated how cool their music videos usually are, that's what initially sucked me in to being a fan when I was younger

The only thing that GotG 2 did better than 1 was its soundtrack. I really enjoyed the selection of songs used in vol.2
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided would've been miles better on the Human Revolution engine. It had a more distinct visual style and doesn't give me sub-30 FPS dips with a 6GB 1060 with all settings on low.

It felt like its story beats toed the typical MCU dramatic arc much more closely than Guardians 1 did. Speaking of jokey MCU, I saw both Thor Dark World and Ragnarok in quick succession this week and man I have to say I prefer jokey lighthearted MCU more than dark dramatic MCU. Ragnarok was a much more energetic and entertaining movie.

[sp]the whole living planet thing was bizarre, cool as shit, and made for a more compelling villain than usual. i liked yondu a lot too, i think michael roorke has a down-to-earth quality to his demeanor that really grounds the character, and i legit didn't expect his character arc to feel as impactful as it did[/sp] on thor... it'd have been funny if kenneth branagh was allowed to go through with his Shakespearean vision of the movie. can you imagine chris hemsworth monologuing?
Guardians 2's biggest problem was honestly how many fucking jokes were in it I didn't even smile amd there were soooo m a n y
a couple of them landed but they never relented with the jokes, literally every scene
a couple of them landed but they never relented with the jokes, literally every scene
A lot of the movie felt like they'd gone from letting Chris Pratt and crew let one slip every other shot to just letting the cameras roll and these people ad-libbing a joke in ever. single. shot, like some kind of cosplay-esque "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" episode. It was weird and jarring because it detracted from the serious scenes. Also, as much as I loved the soundtrack, it felt like it was punctuating almost every key scene to the point where it was choreographed to the music, not the other way around. The sequences set to Fleetwood Mac's The Chain were especially weird for me. Overall, not a terrible movie per se, I just felt they needed to dial the zaniness back a notch.

Was definitely big for me. And I feel like Ego had a lot of potential due to the awesome concept like you said, but in execution I felt like he stuck too much to the Marvel villain formula a little too much which had me feeling like that potential wasn't all the way lived up to.[/sp] And man, now that you say that about Thor I feel like we were robbed of a masterpiece. I want in on the Shakespearean Thor timeline
The L85A2 is a good rifle.
The L85A2 is a good rifle.
Yes, just like the Ford Pinto was a good car.
Yes, just like the Ford Pinto was a good car.
The original's issues have pretty much all been fixed. Aside from the ergonomics. Those are unfixable.
The original's issues have pretty much all been fixed. Aside from the ergonomics. Those are unfixable.
Yeah, and they had to go to H&K to fix it. The real question, I think, is this; which is worse, the old version of the L86 or the INSAS?
Yeah, and they had to go to H&K to fix it. The real question, I think, is this; which is worse, the old version of the L86 or the INSAS?
Well, he literally specified the A2, a fixed version.
Well, he literally specified the A2, a fixed version.
Ah, true. Don't know how I missed that.
The L85A2 is a good rifle.
I think it looks really cool.
john wick is extremely bland and forgettable movie, i really don't understand why internet loves it so much. second one i would say is tiny bit better just because i remember what happened in it (more or less).
john wick is extremely bland and forgettable movie, i really don't understand why internet loves it so much. second one i would say is tiny bit better just because i remember what happened in it (more or less).
It has to do with the [sp]secret society[/sp] shit that leaves you with a taste of that universe without ever fully explaining everything a la midichlorians. I've only seen the movie once, but I still remember a good amount of shit from it, from scenes to plot to small things like "a fucking PENSILL." Plus, it's an action movie without infinite bullets per magazine and with Keanu Reeves, so it gets bonus points for those.
First time I went to the magic kingdom on holidays, I had a fucking blast. Dad told me there was gonna be a lightshow at 9 AM so I said fuck it, why not watch it? Then from that momment I realized that the firework presentation for new years eve here in Brazil looks like a piece of rabbit turd flattened on a road compared to that, which happens everyday by the way.
The Walt Disney company is the largest buyer of fireworks in the world. Also the second largest buyer of explosives behind the US department of defense. They go all out on that shit in multiple parks around the world, it’s pretty crazy.

Jack ma/Warren Buffet are terribly and sadly overused as inspiration. Fuck me I get daily photos or videos of them talking from friends who poured their money into MLMs or Crypto bullshit.
I don't know if this is particularly unpopular, but I despise Buzzfeed and those fans that take everything it produces as holy material. And then there's those god awful quizzes, my word.

Facial animations in modern games suck. Most of the time they look stiff and unnatural, it's like they're an afterthought. Nothing seems to have topped HL2 (a 13 year-old game) in that regard.
