I guess you could say it's a classification system for people with various different genetics-based physical traits, if you really wanted to.
But it's a completely boarderless scale, its a complete spectrum [editline]7th February 2018[/editline] of basically skin-colour
Ah yes, the typical situation where i have a blurry low-res cookie in front of me
You didn't answer the question :v: and that is most certainly not an insufficient picture to determine what type of cookie it is you weasel :P. It's not like we analyze fucking cookies sitting on a plate on table level with a eyeglass before we shove it in our facehole, either. It's literally a fraction of a second until we get the taste of grapey sadness and we know what betrayal tastes like. Your argument was that it was ridiculous that someone couldn't distinguish the two. I presented you with an image with that exact goal to prove the point that it can happen. And here, to boot, is another massive one which I want you to identify as well. [t]https://i.imgur.com/UB4Mr48.jpg[/t] Good luck! :smug:

[t]https://i.imgur.com/UB4Mr48.jpg[/t] Good luck! :smug:
That's oatmeal raisin because it is clearly an oatmeal cookie and anyone who thinking making an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is a good idea has long since been gunned down in the streets like the dog they are Also if you're shoveling cookies in your face with no idea what they are you deserve whatever you get Also if you're a cookie racist you also deserve to be disappointed if you get something you don't like, cookies all deserve love. [editline]6th February 2018[/editline] but also, I can't smell a computer cookie, also I have never seen someone suck so much at making cookies that not a single bit of what is baked inside is clearly revealed, so your example is still contrived
That's oatmeal raisin because it is clearly an oatmeal cookie and anyone who thinking making an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie is a good idea has long since been gunned down in the streets like the dog they are
Good work! It took you peering at your computer for a good bit to see that raisin there.
Also if you're shoveling cookies in your face with no idea what they are you deserve whatever you get
How dare you, nobody should have their tastebuds molested by unexpected raisins in their cookies.
Also if you're a cookie racist you also deserve to be disappointed if you get something you don't like, cookies all deserve love.
Ahem. I took umbrage with your specific statement which was :
How blind does someone have to be to be unable to tell the difference? I have literally never experienced this issue.

Good work! It took you peering at your computer for a good bit to see that raisin there.
But also the aforementioned reasoning, I've never actually seen a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie irl.
How dare you, nobody should have their tastebuds molested by unexpected raisins in their cookies.
Feel the pain until you learn to either stop shoveling cookies of unknown character in your face or learn to love raisins for the delicious things they are.
Ahem. So much for that cookie love. :glare:
a) they don't exist b) they're not cookies, they're abominations
How blind does someone have to be to be unable to tell the difference?
2. trauma endured in childhood tends to have profound effects that carry well into adulthood, often for one's entire life
Someone would need to lead an impressively sheltered life for unexpectedly eating a raisin cookie to count as trauma. :v:
I'm kind of disappointed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be set back in the American West again. I mean they knocked it out of the park the last time, but this it feels like (to me) if they were coming out with GTA6 and revealed it's going to be set in a visually updated Los Santos again.
i hope more people mistake oatmeal raisin cookies for chocolate chip so they can realize that oatmeal raisin is just better in every way
I could tell you to eat shit for your really radical culinary opinion but I guess in a way you already are heheheeee
Speak for yourself, you dont get doodoo hands when you eat an oatmeal raisin cookie
if you eat it in a way that this becomes an issue you really got it coming bubbo [editline]7th February 2018[/editline] messy messy baby boy
Eat one straight out the oven and either your hands get melted gross poopie on it or your teeth get coated in it
thats why humanity invented washing your hands and cleaning your teeth
Why on earth would a series both of whose installments were based in the American West so far and which is clearly naturally at home there switch settings entirely in the third game?
Call of Juarez did exactly that and we all know what happened there.
But it's a completely boarderless scale, its a complete spectrum [editline]7th February 2018[/editline] of basically skin-colour
Okay, but understand that it's easier to say "I'm white" than "I have heavy European ancestry with genetic influences from Native Americans, as well as some African lineage" and whatever else I have in my bloodline. It's an easy way to differentiate oneself without having to get overly detailed. And it's really not just skin-color. Every race has their own non-skin physical traits in the same way that even people from China, Korea, and Japan, despite all being pretty much right next to each other (admittedly Japan has a sea between them and Korea but whatever) have traits that differentiate each other, however minor they may be. It's possible to get a rough idea of someone's race based purely on their skull, solely because of these common traits among similar individuals. [editline]7th February 2018[/editline]
Call of Juarez did exactly that and we all know what happened there.
The problem isn't the setting change so much as execution. Call of Duty shifted time periods focus back in 2007 and it worked wonderfully, at least for that game.
Why on earth would a series both of whose installments were based in the American West so far and which is clearly naturally at home there switch settings entirely in the third game?
The way I see, it Call of Duty's home was World War II until Modern Warfare came out. It only takes one game to mix things up a little and two games by related only by name and setting is hardly rule of law. Why not an American Occupied colony in the earlier 1800s? That'd be neat!
The thing is, it's all such a mix at this point that you can't really completely differentiate
This is completely wrong though? You could take me, one of the whitest people you'd ever meet, and a black person of similar size and build and you could still figure out our race based upon our skeletons.
and also, why even try?
Well I don't know if you've ever heard of it before but police use these strange things called "descriptions" when hunting down people who commit crimes because it's pretty useful to have adequate descriptions of the perpetrators. And that's just the most obvious reason that immediately comes to mind.

They take a great theme and indulge in it, but in a mocking, self aware way. Basically the wild west theme is, by far, at its strongest in an American setting, and that's where you can do the most demystification. AKA where a Rockstar game is at its most Rockstar-ish

I probably should have clarified that I didn't mean to imply RDR2 should be set in Tokyo, the year 30XX
Aside from your pointless snark, description of appearance doesn't rely on the over simplified "white" or "black" etc
That doesn't counter it actually being a useful descriptor at all though? If you describe someone as white or black or Hispanic then the person you're describing them to gets a very good general idea of what the person you are describing looks like with only that one word. The point is it gives a strong starting point for the more pertinent parts of the description without wasting a lot of time having to be overly specific on things that you shouldn't need to be ovrely specific about.
The games are totally American at heart. I probably should have clarified that I didn't mean to imply RDR2 should be set in Tokyo, the year 30XX
TBH I'd love to see Rockstar making smaller, one-off games, where they can work without the pressure of big franchises (and sometimes, without the need for so much all-encompassing satire). Imagine how many different noir stories you could tell in the style of LA Noire, but in London, Paris, Moscow or Cairo. Or, an RDR game set in Latin America, where there's a great variety of historical events and landscapes to choose from. And while we're at it, I hope I get to see Rockstar's take on a James Bond type adventure
White yogurt is the best yogurt "flavour" there is and I'll fight to death anyone who says otherwise.
I thought there was a reason why non-warehouse grocery stores can afford to sell it in bulk. Isn't that type of yogurt more of a cooking reagent than an actual snack?
Jessica Jones and Daredevil were "ehh" at best for me, while Iron Fist was unbearable. The first half of Luke Cage was rad as fuck while the latter half fell into "ehh". Unwilling to watch The Punisher, and The Defenders wasn't worth even turning on imo
The movies of all superhero franchises (and friends) are boring, playing-it-safe trash.
The movies of all superhero franchises (and friends) are boring, playing-it-safe trash.
Spiderman Homecoming, Thor Ragnarok, and (hopefully) Black Panther seem to be bucking that trend. MCU has been hitting their stride since the success of Guardians of the Galaxy imo
Aside from your pointless snark, description of appearance doesn't rely on the over simplified "white" or "black" etc
"Yeah uh...it's a male...with short black hair..." "What color are they?" "I can't say that, SIRIUS doesn't think it's important." It really kinda fucking does until you get to the point of police sketches. [editline]8th February 2018[/editline]
And while we're at it, I hope I get to see Rockstar's take on a James Bond type adventure
Maybe one day they'll tell us what "Agent" is.
