Strength and spider-sense. Consult an expert for anything else. :v:
Strength, spider-sense, wall-sticking and I think better regeneration.
ITT: A user named lil_n00bolet who has yet to realize that this has not been achieved and if so very rarely
ITT: Dr. Disciple hasn't seen Avatar or Tron Legacy Also keep in mind that it's still gonna be released in 2D. I don't think I've ever seen an actual movie that was 3D-exclusive.
Strength, spider-sense, wall-sticking and I think better regeneration.
Oh yeah. Wall-crawling. Forgot about that.
Also, in the comics and mostly errrywhere else, it says peter has radioactive blood... I wanna ask. How the fuck is he not dead from RADIATION POISIONING YET?
Also, in the comics and mostly errrywhere else, it says peter has radioactive blood... I wanna ask. How the fuck is he not dead from RADIATION POISIONING YET?
Why do venomous spiders not die from their own venom ?
Why do venomous spiders not die from their own venom ?
It doesnt work the same, its FUCKING RADIATION.
Why do venomous spiders not die from their own venom ?
yeah because that's totally the same thing. Also a spiders venom isn't just flowing around freely in it's body you know
yeah because that's totally the same thing. Also a spiders venom isn't just flowing around freely in it's body you know
But if they bite themselves in a way or another they won't die because they're immune. He got bitten by a radioactive spider, he probably is immune to radiation as well, or just very resistant (in some issues he gets even more mutated, so the radioactive blood might be continuously mutating him as well)
Orrr it's a comic book from around the mid-nineties and shouldn't be taken super-seriously I mean seriously, the writers today can't go back on the whole "being bitten by a radioactive spider" thing, that's one of the main points from the whole spiderman story, so they sort of have to make do with what they've got. Obviously the writers weren't too fussed about the science surrounding the character's origins, otherwise they would have probably made something more complicated up than that the spider was radioactive.
But if they bite themselves in a way or another they won't die because they're immune.
yeah because spiders bite themselves all the time right? they're not immune, they just never come into contact with their own venom beyond the fangs and venom glands. still not the same thing as radiation immunity.
Oh yeah? [img_thumb]http://www.doobybrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/garfield-the-cat-30th-anniversary.jpg[/img_thumb] :downsrim:
Came in and got what I wanted...sort of. I might still hold out for a Garfield the Cat as Spiderman though.
Read evlbzltyr's post, makes the most sense.
and why would i be interested in that i was arguing you talking about spiders biting themselves and that comparison you made
Strength and spider-sense. Consult an expert for anything else. :v: Personally, I never liked the idea of mechanical web-shooters because that only adds to the improbability of Peter Parker. Not only does he create some elaborate durable costume in his bedroom, but he also makes an extremely durable and ingenious device and chemical compound? I have a harder time swallowing that than "mutant powers give me web abilities". But that's just me.
Yeah, I pretty much was gonna say just that. The unbelievability is greater with mechanical web shooters, thus having their "realistic reboot" backfire.

Read evlbzltyr's post, makes the most sense
and why would i be interested in that
:saddowns:
I know pretty much nothing about Spiderman, but I always thought the web shooting thing was the only power he got from the spider bite. If he has mechanical web shooters, what powers does he actually have?
He's very strong, and can sense danger. His web was never one of his powers in the comics.
Peter's powers as a result of being bitten are enhance strength, allowing him to lift about Ten tonnes, Enhanced agility, I believe he's the most agile hero in the Marvel Universe, his Spider Sense that allows him to sense Danger and react, often unconsciously and his ability to stick to any surface no matter how slippery, he can stick to it. His webs are a chemical compound, but they worked well in the Raimi trilogy because they posed their own problems in the 2nd film. Trust me, I'm a spiderman nerd.

I mean spiderman has radioactive blood, that shit would kill him. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] And the comic was made in the 60's.
Of course it was made in the 60's the cartoon was the 90's, in the Comic everyone calls oneanother "cat" and "tiger".
Wrong again my friend, the first cartoon was in the 70's. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Late 70's or late 80's.

There were a load of different ones I believe. EDIT: There were, first was in the late 60's, I was raised on the 1994 series.
I hope they re-do Venom. His portrayal in Spider-Man 3 was a huge waste.
I hope they re-do Venom. His portrayal in Spider-Man 3 was a huge waste.
They wont, with the whole venom movie n' all.
The Lizard will make its first on-screen appearance actually.
The glove parts of the suit still look bad.
So I guess in the remake, maybe Venom appears, Spidey fights him, but Carnage appears in the fray, and makes a truce, in desperation. Said so in the comics.
So I guess in the remake, maybe Venom appears, Spidey fights him, but Carnage appears in the fray, and makes a truce, in desperation. Said so in the comics.
That was an awesome comic, Venom and Spiderman vs Carnage. :fap:
In the ultimate universe, as far as I remember, the venom is a failed cure to cancer created by Peter's father, and isn't as intrusive as in Amazing. It just makes you super violent and that's pretty much everything.
I'm actually hoping for Kraven. Not sure why. I don't know anything about these characters other than what I've seen in the cartoons and movies. But, considering the amount of animal themed villains, Kraven could appear as a hero against people like Vulture and becomes a villain in pursuit of Spider-Man. Something like that is something I'd like to see. Obviously a lot more fleshed out though. What I'm trying to say, is I hope to see a villain that has not been done yet. But, I do agree that the Venom and Spider-Man vs. Carnage conflict would be interesting on screen.
In the ultimate universe Kraven is a loser and never stands a chance against Spiderman. Along with the shocker, octopus, and some others. That's why I hate the ultimate universe - every good villains from the Amazing universe are just dumb fucks.
