I'm under 18, so I legally can't here, but when I'm old enough I'm going to.
I tried to once. But they wouldn't accept it in bucket form for some reason. I don't understand...:confused::confused:
Fuck no. I hate needles.

Last donation March 24th, next one scheduled for June
I've donated both regular units of blood and red blood cells where you are connected to a machine that sorts out blood and plasma and injects it back into you after every 5-10 minutes. Best feeling ever. Machine tells you to stop squeezing, etc. and then it goes into reverse and you can feel and see cold plasma being pumped back into your arm. Once some gets pumped it switches back over and takes more.
If I'm not lazy enough I'll donate plasma. Takes ~3-4 hours and you get paid $100 or so the first time. The assholes are all over me because I have perfect blood pressure, hemoglobin levels, iron etc.
I have never donated blood. My blood contains IgE antibodies that are aimed against common allergens, which may spike an allergic reaction in the donor. However I am a registered organ donor.
no i have aids.
Giving blood is a great way to seriously save someone's life in a very direct way. Makes me feel good about myself, especially since I'm O+.
I've given a good handful of times, and only had one problem. A hematoma on the arm I was giving from. Basically a large, extramuscular bruise where the needle damaged a blood vessel. But I was okay and finished giving fine.
If you're O+, your blood is probably still sitting in a blood bank somewhere.
I heard (Over here in England, anyway), that there's real trouble because they have way too much O+ blood and not enough of the rarer stuff.
I have but they wont accept my blood, due to having previous antibodies still remaining in my blood system
I usually don't donate blood, but my Mother donates blood every 3 months.
I can't donate blood because of a blood disorder, however I can donate bone marrow and I'm on the register for that.... which is way more badass anyway. I'm an organ donor too.
I'm considering it, but I'm not really sure I am under the right age to be allowed?
Anyone knows, the proper age?
I think it's 16?
I think I've donated 4 times now.
B-
I can't donate, I pass out if someone comes close with a needle with the intent to stick it in my arm.
If I'd see my own blood flowing through a tube, I would freak out.
I give blood. I've only donated twice so far but I think I've got an appointment next Friday. Not sure if I'll be able to donate this time though because on the question sheet that they give you before the donation it asks if you've had any operation since the last time you donated, and I have.
And I'm B+

It's 17 in the UK.
I'd donate, but I have Trypanophobia. Last time I had a blood test, I fainted and they did it while I was unconscious :saddowns:
Maybe when i'm a bit older, i'll probably consider it. But all in all, I wonder how much my blood is worth per litre?
I would, but I have thc in my blood :3.
I would, but I have thc in my blood :3.
Well, that'd make you of high value to weed-smoking vampires. If there's anything better than blood to them, it'd be blood loaded with weed.
No one is worth of my radioactive ass blood.
A friend of mine has the rarest blood type (AB- I think) but he can't donate because he is gay
Yet because they are short of organs, he can organ donate

What? He can't donate because he's gay?
Tried to donate blood - wasn't allowed because I am permanently on medication.
I drive an moped so it makes me an organ donor
I'm going to donate blood when I'm 18.
And when I die, I'll let them take whatever they can use from my body.
Donating blood isn't something I'd do. I was reading about this and bloodless surgery is now a direction that many surgeons are moving.
A blood transfusion adversely affects the immune system and increases the risk of infection.
The recovery time after taking blood is longer.
Doctors who don't use blood tend to reduce the bleeding more whilst they work as they don't use the backup of a bag of blood after.
Sometime blood is a life saver but too often it is a non essential treatment that they fall back on without good reason. Do the reading on bloodless surgery if you give a fuck.
Fuck no.
They already have huge amounts of frozen blood in a big warehouse somewhere.
I can't :frown:
I've never donated blood, but I'd like to once I am able to (don't you have to be 18 or something..?)
Also I don't know if I'm really applicable, my bloodtype is O+, and I don't know if they'll take that or not.
