Yah, bass
I'm rocking an Ibanez SR500, which is like perfect, cept sometimes I wish it had more strings. :v:
Anyone use effects with their bass playing?
I use compression for slapping sometimes. Envelope and autowah can do some funky things too sometimes.
Guitar play's in bass and trebble :keke:
I own a Squier Precision Bass.
Uhm, I apologize if this is a box-worthy question, but how does one become "better" at playing Bass? Learning tabs? Learning chords? Improving technique?
you would do that with practise sir. tabs are easy once you understand them, bass does not use chords and again technique is with practising. help?

Squire vintage modified p-bass, I run it through a Gallien Krueger half stack and it sounds great.
Just went to Guitar Center today and tried out an Ibanez SR506. That thing is goddamn sex.

Media tags are being a bitch so I can't tag it.

So anyone here Know how to Slap? And are you any good?
I can slap fairly well. Nothing like Claypool or whoever the big slap-bass idol is these days, but I do good.
I like Drum and Bass duos, I wish more bands were like that.

The whole thing only cost $600. I've played bass guitar for two years, done several gigs with this. Both the bass and the amp are amazing, I know people who have spent twice this much on a bass alone that doesn't sound nearly as well as this.
What do you guys think of the Fender Rumble 100w?

That's where you are wrong. Bass USUALLY doesn't use chords. Sometimes it does though.

It's called Batalla de los Tambores if you're wondering.
I just played my sousaphone again for the first time in about a month. Loved it, made me miss marching season.
