Arachnidus, get your gun fixed and come down to HVA. We'll have a bropunch day one time
*come up to HVA
I have the same problem with my cyma 046. I'm pretty sure it's the wiring though for me.
Arachnidus, get your gun fixed and come down to HVA. As soon as I fix it, I plan on getting my gear together and getting there one of these weekends.
Borrow someone's multimeter and measure both poles of the motor to make sure it's not the motor being busted for some reason.
I usually post when I head out to HVA to get everybody together, so you can go by that if you don't know when. 40 person days are best at HVA I had a shit ton of fun yesterday [editline]14th March 2011[/editline] Also, one of HVA's owners works on guns, so if you can't get it working, you can bring it to him, and he could look at it for you if the problem persists.

I'm working on a few solutions, like getting a friend of the family over to check it out. He's a construction worker, but he's got enough skill with electronics that he may be able to make heads or toes of what's going on. Worst case is, I can pick up a nice, new Kar 98 from ASGI. I always thought it'd be nice to have a bolt rifle that's actually supposed to be a bolt rifle.
I'll just warn you, bolt action rifles with shells aren't the best with skirmishabillity
I'll just warn you, bolt action rifles with shells aren't the best with skirmishabillity
As I'd assume. I'm trying to find a rifle of some type within my price range, which isn't all that high. Budget airsofting always is an issue, but I'm trying to find something nice to work out.
Grab yourself a combat machine, give it a tighter barrel, good battery, and upgrade the hop up shit inside it and you'll be set. Raider for if you like rails, M4A1 if you like vanilla like me.
Some possibilities. -Essentially a higher tier version of this broken rifle. -G36c, always a good option. -M4 by Combat Machine The M4 is pretty much the peak of what I can spend. It would make a great wallhanger and/or prop though.

Yet again, I recommend the G&G CM's. Surprisingly good quality for their price. best gun in world reccomended /metro

Go for it then bro.
As soon as I have the money for it -and I'm sure that the AK is beyond any semblance of working order-, I plan on it. Thanks for the help guys. I'll report back in if anything new comes up.
You should actually go to HVA this coming sunday, I guess a good deal of us are going
If I can get a ride and a usable gun that won't make people laugh at me, I'm all for it.
People aren't going to laugh at a CYMA 028. If anything, you can always rent.
Ah, my friend, but you miss the usable part; that applies to the CM028. The laughing part...that applies to the crappy plinking rifle my cousin got me for my birthday.
As I said, if you can't get the CYMA to work, you could ask Mich (the field tech) to have a look at it, i'm not sure how much he charges, but it's worth a shot. If you can't get your gun to work, you can always rent as I said, they have some pretty decent rental guns.
You can do wonderful things to Cm028, mine has gone through rain, mud, dirt, snow, ice, extremely high temperatures, has shot over 80,000 rounds, still use it after 4, soon 5 years. Even though the internals are pretty much in the highest tier category since 2 years. Beside the motor, whom has burned up, so I'm back on the stock motor. since 10,000 rounds at least. But yeah, as most said, it has to do with something in your electrical system, may it be the motor, wires, the actual contact inside the gearbox. If the motor is busted up, well change it, or get a new gun, if it's the inner contacts, well, you may try to change it too. Guess by now you've already checked up the battery and fuse at least. They're tuff usually, you had a great beginer rifle. And on a tight budget, lucky you are American, the Combat Machines are great, with the few hundreds I've handled, they're solid, and the internals aren't bad for their prices, sure somethings are to check, but when you're a beginner it's not something you will care much about, well the barrel/hop up, yes, but in the gearbox, you have nothing to worry. The two CM I've actually owned before were great. And the hundreds I sold in the last 365 days, all worked great, except for four or five I had to fix.
