Wow, that's really nice. I bet when you play it, a ghost takes over and makes you fuckin' shred Are you actually going to play with it or just keep it safe, like, for decoration or something?
Holy shit, that's a good idea for a single-man ban theme or something to make you unique, like Buckethead's face supposedly being pecked off by chickens, hence the bucket.
A Les Paul isn't the brand, that's the type.
Yes. The headstocks are still different though. And it doesn't have the white Gibson lettering either like an Epiphone.
Yes. The headstocks are still different though. Yes, but that's the thing. All Gibsons have the plastic tuners while some Epiphones do and others do not. Seeing as this one has metal tuners, it must be an Epiphone.

There are tons of guitars that look like that. It was a perfectly legitimate question. To the untrained eye it could be either a Gibson LP, an Epiphone LP, an ESP Eclipse, a Bach LP, or just a random cheap guitar with that very shape. The funny thing is that I bet all the people who rated PinkRhino dumb thought it was a Gibson LP when in reality it turned out to be an Epiphone. Who's laughing now?

And the picture in the OP does not have the white Gibson lettering like the Epiphone headstock that you posted. So even if they do make epiphones with that headstock that it's still doesn't look like the one in the OP. That's all I was saying.

I laugh how we're discussing this when OP could just tell us what's written on the headstock :D
Ok, most of them then. I laugh how we're discussing this when OP could just tell us what's written on the headstock :D
This. Sounds like we're being fucked with.

The one in the picture doesn't say anything, so the question is still not answered. [editline]11:37PM[/editline]
OP could just tell us what's written on the headstock :D
I hope he does, for the love of god.
The suspense is fucking killing me. :ohdear:
hey guys
u motherfucker what is it
What?
Do you mind telling us what's written on the headstock (the end of the neck) of the guitar? Or you can at least take a decent picture of it so we can tell ourselves.
The tuning pegs and the shape of the truss rod cover lead me to believe it's Epiphone, but I haven't seen an Epiphone have that shape other than in the picture posted in this thread.
All I can tell that it's a Les Paul Custom since there's an inlay on the first fret.
Yea, the truss rod is pretty much telling me Epiphone, but I'm not totally secure in my judgement. Either way, if it's a Gibson or a Epiphone, it's a nice looking guitar.
Oh my God....
Just tell us...
God damnit Op stop being a dick and tell us.
God damnit Op stop being a dick and tell us.
Why do you care? He's playing a silly little jackass game with you, just ignore it.
thank you captain obvious, im mildly interested in this.
Troll much? It's probably a crappy Epiphone.
Epiphones aren't crap.
Nah, an Epiphone can sound just as good as a Gibson with a couple of changes in hardware etc. [editline]07:59PM[/editline] or even better
well if you change everything except for the body & neck it can be equal to a gibson, but then it won't really be a epiphone now will it?
I'm going to guitar center soon to see how much its worth so I can insure it [editline]01:36AM[/editline] So what exactly is an Epiphone?
It's essentially a cheaper version of Gibson. Like Squier is to Fender. That doesn't make them crappy guitars, they just generally aren't of as high build quality (usually made outside of US or Japan) and use cheaper electronics.

Basically, cheaper wood, cheaper electronics, cheaper hardware, etc. Doesn't necessarily sound bad, it's just that it's more likely to break or wear out. The one thing that bothers me about cheap guitar models is the plasticy-super high gloss finish. I hate that.
You realize that you get high end Epiphones too right?
