14 years from now show him this thread. It will be epic.
Listen to this man, OP
well congratz, btw that baby is lucky to pass that 1% out of 99% chance to get pregnant.
I don't understand why most of the people in here are going over the top about saying he won't be able to handle it, or having a go at him because he still lives at home, or because a mistake happened.
They're 24, it isn't a too young age, I don't know why a lot of people go on that 30 or above is the right age, a lot of people choose to have kids in their early 20s, although this wasn't by choice, it's still not a bad thing.
He works as a Network Engineer, they earn a pretty decent salary, above the average for the UK, and if his Girlfriend also works and can continue to work whilst pregnant then financially wise they will be sound for quite a while.
Ever thought that living at home is a choice and much easier than paying for a full on flat/house whilst he is still paying off his debts, he is lucky to have parents who are willing to do that, even if he pays his way it's going to be much cheaper than renting/buying his own at the moment, meaning he can afford to pay off his debts quicker and also save up money.
So what that a mistake happened, he isn't some teenager who can't handle it, his girlfriend was on the pill and lots of couples choose to use the pill rather than a condom, mistakes happen all the time. I was a mistake, my mum was only 17 when she became pregnant with me and my dad 18, but now I can say that my mother is only 36 whilst I am 18, meaning i'll be able to spend the majority of my life knowing her.
Good luck to you Slayer, you will need it, I hope that everything turns out fine just don't let everything pile up at once.
It's nice to see someone know what they're talking about, thanks!
We're currently looking at houses, seen a few that we might be intrested it.
MAY YOUR FIRST CHILD BE A MASCULINE CHILD!!!
caps
Best of luck to you!
People who say you are too young forget how old people used to be when they children in the past. There was a time when you got married at 22, had children at 24 and lived out the rest of your life happily.
Imagine this. By the time you're 30, you will be in a decent full time job earning a good amount of money. Who wants kids at this time of your life? its just another distraction. So im proud that you're having a kid at this age, even if it was un-intentional .
Update: Have a meeting on Saturday to discuss a mortgage.
We've seen a house we want for 70k.

Congrats
My gratulations on this, and the main thing you should do:
Ignore the trolls.
Then get a house ;)
Congratulations man, I'm sure you'll be able to manage. Just be as good a father as you can be, support your girlfriend. How long have you been going out with this girl? Because I hope it's a serious relationship, it sucks if your kid were to be a bastard child.
Good luck, and hope for the best, and it will come.
I hope for the best all the time, don't see good things happening to me >:C
Congratulations!
Good luck! :D

Fix't.
Good luck with supporting a newcomer to this universe :) I hope everything turns out good for your new family!
Good luck man :)
and yeah ignore those damn trolls
Depends on how much debt you have before you should mortgage.
The amount of stupidity in this thread is enormous, most of you didn't even read the OP at all. Don't bash him if they chose to use the pill instead of using condoms, the pill actually has a higher contraceptive success rate than condoms and feels a lot better. It's a very common solution to long term relationships but since most of you must be in kindergarten don't know any of this stuff. It's too bad it was not intentional, but if you are choosing to carry the pregnancy, congratulations.
Awesome man, hope everything works out for you. :unsmith:
Nice, good luck with your child, mate. First you might think "Why I didn't use condoms oh god why" but remember, it will be fine!
I laughed at all of the posts saying 'Damn kids and teenage pregnancies.' :)
Congratulations, good luck !
