The Creative Photography Thread - If It Ain't Bokeh, Don't Fix It
yeah, i did the person as the top layer and that was all good. its the shadow and ground below the floating subject thats the problem.
i think its the rug. too detailed to just clone brush it. i need a sold color ground.
This was a little rushed, so it could have been better. Basically you take a picture of the subjectless scene, then take a picture with something over where the subject would be to create a realistic shadow. If you're floating a person you need to get creative and make something that sorta looks like a person to caste a natural shadow. After that, you merge them together. Take your time and make it look good, I did it quickly for this tutorial. After that, take the picture of the subject being supported. Merge this into the 'shadow' shot we made a few seconds ago. Bam.

Wanted also to get some "star trails" but it my camera is running out of battery and a haven't bought my charger :smith:. Also did not have any rubber bands to create a finger replicator.
Did manage to get some o.k looking long exposure shots.

Want to try this stuff out, but it will take me timer to get my photo-shopping skills back up to par using Gimp.
Congrats to everyone to making it to 80 pages.:golfclap:

I was wondering what object would be large enough for one to be that close to the ceiling... That explains it.

He's actually older than me by a year, I'm just taller and standing uphill, making him appear smaller.

Roll_program, great lines throughout all of your pictures.
My eyes are lead up in one direction only to be swept back down again, then back up again.
Really, really nice shots in my opinion.
You've got framing down, and your editing and contrast are consistent - fairly recognizable.
Nice work.
Thanks, I've been trying to get into b&w more.
