Cheers. With the second one, I wasn't trying to get a desaturated effect, I just didn't PP the pictures at all (I hardly ever do with any of my pictures) and I forgot to turn the vibrance off on my monitors to see what they look like without it, which is obviously less saturated. Annoying sometimes.
These make me really scared, and I'm just sitting at a desk! Only criticism I can make is that the colours in the second one are a bit dull. If you're going for a desaturated effect I would dramatacise it a little more :)
I like how the dull colours really make his shoes stand out though
I'm a little overwhelmed this morning. Went to the pub last night, got drunk and decided it would be a good idea to climb onto the roof of the half built Marlowe Theatre. Got inside, things were sweet, then realised that police and security were downstairs, because my friend decided it'd be a good idea to let a really wasted guy join us, who proceeded to make a lot of noise. My girlfriend, my friend and I were the only ones who escaped. 6 others got apprehended by the police - who were there surprisingly quickly (Like 2-3 minutes after being spotted). Anyway, I don't think their in too much trouble and I didn't actually take any photographs, but I did get a kickass video which I'll upload at some point soon. I'm off back to bed to get rid of my hangover. See you guys later. <3

Was at an awesome museum today (Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology), and these were the best images I could get because I had to run after my little brothers all the time: I think I have to go there without them some day.
so my parents are cleaning out my grandpas house (he died a long time ago) and they found this for me hopefully there's more cool camera stuff.
Could you guys tell me if I'm doing pushups correctly: [editline]26th March 2011[/editline] Hmm maybe there will be less light pollution during earth hour today. Gonna be out with my camera then I suppose.
Im not entirely sure where I was going with these, I could really use a flash apparatus or something so little inspiration
So I shot in film today for the first time in 5-7 years, but loaded the roll slightly incorrectly and so lost 5 exposures. The cool Jessops dudes had used some Zenit's before and knew how to use the weird loading mechanism and gave me a hand, so I took 11 exposures today and going to shoot another 20 tomorrow (Ilford black and white), so I can just test out my Zenit 11 (going to be more conservative on film later on).

He still uses it! hopefully there's more cool camera stuff. Can't wait!

My first roll won't be that good since I rushed taking 16 photos in half an hour after I figured out the mechanism before it got dark, hopefully my second roll will be nicer though.
Went through the pictures from today and figured I may as well post this one as well:
Love it but it could be a little sharper.

If you do I would sharpen this a tad, and turn down the exposure a little to emphasise the blacks. Then it would be perfect, but great job nonetheless.
I can't add detail which ain't there, but there's always High Pass: I dunno? [editline]26th March 2011[/editline] Messed a little with curves:

Went to the Local Airshow/Carshow today. I couldn't get very many photos because it was so crowded.
Is there a CHDK Firmware for the T1i?(500D) Would it be worth installing it? Does it void warranties?
There is no CHDK for the 500D. There is Magic Lantern which is in a PreAlpha>Beta stage which adds cinematography features though. There are already Magic Lantern builds out for the 5D Mk II and 550D. Unsure if it voids warranties. It's unlikely that it will break things, but there are no guarantees of course.
I promise this is the last photo I'm posting here of a Glauca. snip nvm mactrekkie =/= machaddock stupid similar names.
been a mini adventure of frustration today. I played a bit with customizing the in-camera picture styles and came up with a really rich B/W with a hint of sepia. Looked gorgeous SOOC, but as soon as I uploaded stuff to the computer and looked at it in lightroom, photoshop stripped the color settings one-by-one in front of me, revealing the original untouched colors. Turns out, photoshop/lightroom/bridge don't like reading camera styles from RAW and just revert to default. After a long while of surfing the internet and finding little to no complaints from other people about this, and the advice of "just shoot JPG" being the only relatively sane reply, I've found using the brand-specific software (Nikon Capture NX2 in this case) will show the images in their color profile state. Needless to say, I'm just gonna shoot JPG if I want SOOC.
