well, i want the video feature to shoot music videos for my band. the pentax K-x is looking good right now...
Remember this is the camera you're going to build up the lens and flash collection for, so you're most likely going to be stuck with this brand forever.
Remember this is the camera you're going to build up the lens and flash collection for, so you're most likely going to be stuck with this brand forever.
thats true....i guess nikon? its fifty dollars more.... speaking of 50 dollars more, does anyone want to buy guitar hero II and guitar hero arosmith (guitars included) or a microscope kit?

Just fixed my Olympus OM-10, so now I have both that and my Zenit 11 at my disposal, I'm sure I'll be using my Zenit more though because it has much more character to it. Also I like your photos Beth but try using lower shutter speeds, there is a lot of light streaking, though I think that adds to the 3rd picture.
Thank you :) Do you think the 4th one has too much streaking in it? I really like it when the lights do that sometimes, as long as it's not overpowering. also the red and green lasers were moving that's why they streaked so much.

Time to nit-pick.
I meant lower shutter speed as in 1/1000 is lower than 1/250 etc.
Take out the word 'shutter' and see what happens. "I meant lower [del]shutter[/del] speed as in 1/1000 is lower than 1/250 etc." lower speed.
Deal with it, I misuse lingo for everything.
been a mini adventure of frustration today. I played a bit with customizing the in-camera picture styles and came up with a really rich B/W with a hint of sepia. Looked gorgeous SOOC, but as soon as I uploaded stuff to the computer and looked at it in lightroom, photoshop stripped the color settings one-by-one in front of me, revealing the original untouched colors. Turns out, photoshop/lightroom/bridge don't like reading camera styles from RAW and just revert to default. After a long while of surfing the internet and finding little to no complaints from other people about this, and the advice of "just shoot JPG" being the only relatively sane reply, I've found using the brand-specific software (Nikon Capture NX2 in this case) will show the images in their color profile state. Needless to say, I'm just gonna shoot JPG if I want SOOC. [img_thumb]http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5147/5562512735_ea033cf5bf_z.jpg[/img_thumb]
I've never had this problem with Aperture
if i want b&w, i use lightroom and shoot raw
Time to nit-pick.
I don't appreciate you nitting me bopie. :P
I don't appreciate you nitting me bopie. :P
where's that video of you urbex-ing?
First paid photography job last night, I made the most of it considering there was no more than 20 people at the club at one time, which is a shame really. Nice place but quite far out compared to other more popular and established clubs. Some photos turned out better than others, it was quite frustrating at the start because my flash was either under or over exposing, smoke didn't help either but I adjusted a few things and it worked out fine. Tweaked each one a bit in Lightroom. The noise at 400iso, dear duck!
where's that video of you urbex-ing?
I'm gonna wait until things die down a little bit. Don't want to get my friends into any more trouble than they already are.
I've never had this problem with Aperture
It's with HP computers, I think it's fixed though
Lightroom is corrupting my shots :/ Initially they appear fine after import. Once it does its processing bit they visually corrupt.. Whats up with this?? Or, if you have turned on "grain" the same will happen. As far I can see, it looks like grain/sharpen-rape.

got this email in reply for my unicycle listing on craigslist, i think its a scam, what do you think?: Hi, Am glad it's available. I'm going on a vacation to London but I will instruct my assistant to prepare and mail your payment which I'm sure you will get in about 5- 7 business days. I'll add $20 extra for the delay. I'll pay by M O or cashier check so send me your info (1. Full Name to write on the Payment 2. Address where payment will be sent to not P.O BOX (b'cos my courier service does not deliver to p.o box) 3. City 4. State 5. Zip Code 6. Home or cell Phone Number) so payment can be mailed out immediately. I will also make arrangement for pick-up which will be after you must have received and cashed the payment. Awaiting your info. Thanks
I misloaded the roll of film in my Zenit 11, and so only got 6 useable exposures out of 36, but it did result in some cool glitchy/lomo-ish shots.
