got this email in reply for my unicycle listing on craigslist, i think its a scam, what do you think?:
Hi,
Am glad it's available. I'm going on a vacation to London but I will instruct my assistant to prepare and mail your payment which I'm sure you will get in about 5- 7 business days. I'll add $20 extra for the delay. I'll pay by M O or cashier check so send me your info (1. Full Name to write on the Payment
2. Address where payment will be sent to not P.O BOX (b'cos my courier service does not deliver to p.o box)
3. City
4. State
5. Zip Code
6. Home or cell Phone Number) so payment can be mailed out immediately. I will also make arrangement for pick-up which will be after you must have received and cashed the payment.
Awaiting your info.
Thanks
great feel to them
I really think you need to dodge the corners in the first, and burn that weird white column in the second.
I've never had this problem with Aperture
don't have a mac, will not buy anything more than an apple monitor.
if i want b&w, i use lightroom and shoot raw
yes, but it was irritating coming up with a setting I liked on-camera and having all of that get negated. I can come up with a quick camera profile to re-apply it if I like, I suppose. Nikon Capture NX2 feels like using a Lightroom clone made entirely with legos.
First paid photography job last night, I made the most of it considering there was no more than 20 people at the club at one time, which is a shame really. Nice place but quite far out compared to other more popular and established clubs. Some photos turned out better than others, it was quite frustrating at the start because my flash was either under or over exposing, smoke didn't help either but I adjusted a few things and it worked out fine. Tweaked each one a bit in Lightroom. The noise at 400iso, dear duck!
Ack, sorry I missed your PM. Not much to say other than keep playing til you find a setting you like, and don't the flash straight on; bounce it.
It's with HP computers, I think it's fixed though
that was just an issue with CTRL+SHIFT+S being overridden by the computer wanting to open its system info instead of photoshop performing a save-as. :v:
Lightroom is corrupting my shots :/
Initially they appear fine after import. Once it does its processing bit they visually corrupt.. Whats up with this??

If it's corrupting one-by-one as you import them, the shots are already corrupt and it's just updating the thumbnails from the camera-provided thumbs, I'd wager.
Can you post the settings? That is a really nice style.
Set Picture Control, go to monochrome default, push D-pad to right. Change sharpening all the way up, contrast all the way up, leave brightness at default, change color filter to whatever (play with different filters to find a nice medium for your scene), and set Toning to "Sepia, 1".
this takes things you'd look at in color and think "wow that's crap" and makes them feel very inviting and nostalgic, in my opinion. :buddy:
I really think you need to dodge the corners in the first, and burn that weird white column in the second.
I doubt it's actually worth bothering.
B-haz, these are your first shots i've ever liked.
So should I try and remove the white streaks, or just shoot another roll?

I love both these shots mate, top job.
Put the SD into my Macbook, Aperture imported them fine :/
Thanks, I'm glad I've taken some barely acceptable shots for once, I guess film does really force you to take better shots. Here's the rest that weren't completely fucked over, I'll make sure to load my film correctly next time.

Wow, she executes symmetry marvelously
So I went out scouting for a photo for my 52 thing and I found this great location with an awesome view of the mountains. Soon as I went to grab my camera, clouds came and covered everything and it started pissing with rain. Took this instead - not really feeling it.
tl;dr have a shitty photo

Not to worry, earlier advice was a great starter and appreciate it! I flashed up a bit with a diffuser dome mounted and it worked quite well. Get to shoot a bus next week woot!
I googled films with photography the other day, watched One Hour Photo which was good but messed up, I haven't cringed so hard since watching A Serbian film the other day!
NEW ROLL IN!!!

I'm fairly new to photography:

So, I know it's a video, but this guy showed up to our touring open mic nights on saturday (Which coincided with WWF's Earth Hour). He was incredible.
Nothing really special filming wise, but I'm glad I captured the moment:

7:00, some bastard turned on a light :@
Also, why is that guy not famous? That was excellent.
