It isn't an isolated incident though. He also seems to have a distinct inability to take negative feedback.
Well he IS payed for his services which might explain a bit.
I just think he's blunt is all.

My first crack at star trails. Its basically just a test shot but it still looks kind of neat. I only did a 10min long exposure and was surprised at how far the stars move in that amount of time. The star that the laser is pointing at is the north star and I was using the laser to guide with. If the weather is good I may get off the back deck and try to find a good spot with 90% fewer trees.

Just because someone get paid for something doesn't mean they are good at it.
There are a lot of his shots I don't like at all.
um, yeah...

Went through some more pics from the day I went to the protests and dug up these:
This is a bird:

A bit over-exposed on the chest of it though, which sucks.

If anyone haven't seen the protest images, they can be found here (yeah I used my Deviantart, shoot me):

Brian Storey, unless you are going to start giving out constructive criticism, I would ask that you please leave this thread and start a gallery thread. Right now it just looks like you're looking to strengthen your ego-rection.
This isn't the criticism thread, It's the creative photography thread.
He has as much right to just pop in and post pictures as everybody else.
he just gives us photos, he never just makes a normal post
Is there any criteria as to what I can post?
Your job here is to post pictures you're proud of, so long as they come from some sort of camera.
I'm just more saying he's too good. I just don't think that it's fair that he can take attention away from others who might be new and would really appreciate attention and constructive criticism. He gets enough riff-raff on his Flickr so I see no need for him to post here. I remember a while ago he had his own thread, it was good this way.
It's fine guys.
Take what you want from this thread, ignore the rest.
He doesn't need to chat to be a good contributor, and it's nice to have variety in the posts and users.
any cc?
any cc?
They both seem underexposed.
The first one seems to lack a proper subject but the 2nd has good potential with the colours.
please bear in mind it was getting dark and i had ~2-15second exposures to work with

I post along with my pictures the gear used and how it was lit... If that is not helpful I don't know what is? And I would be more than happy to answer questions about how I do things what gear I used, what gear I think you could rig something with how I would light something etc... if you would ask? You guys never leave me with anything to say so I just offer some recent work and try to explain a bit about how I got those results.
I have made a few strong friendships with some of you that we have taken to other social platforms like facebook, flickr, and skype. We constantly share information and help each other out with problems.

This is a great example. If you are new and need attention and crit then why not ask the guy who is "too good." Like you said I get my ego stroked enough else where. I did not start out at the level I am now and I am sure many users here remember my sordid attempts back in the day. I still post here in the off chance It can be helpful to users. I more often than not have lighting setup shots of most shoots and I am usually more then happy to screencast my editing sessions or if someone asks on a technique, make a screenflow video of how I achieve it.
Found a pic from when I stuck both my lenses back-to-front to make a ghetto macro lens.
Thought it was pretty neat. (and good quality considering it wasn't taken with a proper macro lens)

Interesting idea. Are you a canon? I have a Tamron 70-300 maco lens sitting about I picked up for 70$ I would be fine with parting with for a clean 50$.
Yeah, canon here. I got that ghetto macro effect by sticking my kit 18-55 and 75-300 lenses back to front. It's a cool little trick to do, but you get some really dark vignetting when using this method so you usually have to crop it a fair bit.
Here's another of the same spider
