Yeah, canon here. I got that ghetto macro effect by sticking my kit 18-55 and 75-300 lenses back to front. It's a cool little trick to do, but you get some really dark vignetting when using this method so you usually have to crop it a fair bit. I'd love to know how long you've been doing photography karl.
Yeah thats the one major issue when using my lenses. My two lenses that I use for this have different sized glass on the very front meaning I get a ring of black around all my images. Old example: [editline]2nd April 2011[/editline] Oh nice shot btw.
I wake up to find that CPT is in red alert emergency shit storm recovery. What the hell happened in the 9 hours I was out? Crazy.... In other news I had the talent show at my school yesterday an my mom took pictures so I'll see if I can post them. (she has the canon rebel, that's how I get dslr photographs)

Nah, we just kinda discussed brianETC/Karlhungus's participatory habits. Honestly, I think a Brian Storey megathread would be a neat idea, dumping ground for his stuff and people can ask questions without feeling like they're derailing another subject.

And a Brian Storey megathread already exists. its called his flickr photostream.
you're a lucky man, pick
I know, and I don't take it for granted.
I envy your lifestyle pick. You also take some amazing photos.
Thank you bud. Really though, life is what you make of it (although circumstances do affect things). But there's no need to envy me - I just try to be proactive with what I do. Don't waste your days at home, get out and appreciate what's around you. I'm sure there's more to where you live than you realise. By the way, I'll be in Sydney in August. It'd be cool to meet up if I can find the space.

I will just stop posting. Y'all know where to find me on flickr and facebook
noo, I actually liked your posts. It was interesting to see your lighting set-ups and shit. Oh well :frown:
Now I'm no fancy artsy pants with a $500 camera (even though I want to be one) but here is a rather odd thing I bumped into today. In the parking lot of a mall. Taken with my Optimus 2x. Oops. Realized that there is a mobile phone shots thread.
I'm just more saying he's too good. I just don't think that it's fair that he can take attention away from others who might be new and would really appreciate attention and constructive criticism. He gets enough riff-raff on his Flickr so I see no need for him to post here. I remember a while ago he had his own thread, it was good this way.
This thread isn't a popularity contest. What's with all of the jealousy? I come to this thread not only to post, but to admire others works. Can you imagine how boring photography would be if all it was was giving and getting feedback?
I'm not really into that. I will just stop posting. Y'all know where to find me on flickr and facebook
No. Like I said before, it's nice to have variety here, and you certainly add to that. You're welcome to post here, in whatever way you like in my opinion. Also, have another shot from that roll. Taken at The Old Neptune pub in Whistable. You can see the most incredible sunsets from that window. Y'all know where to find me on flickr and facebook
i don't see the problem with you staying. i like your photos and i like saying that you are a fuckin pimp, never thought there was a problem with anything. people are making WAY to big of a deal of an extremely mild comment that was only very slightly grumpy. for example, bopie bashed me until i was hospitalized for making a thread about my lomo camera but I'm still here and now we are, what i would like to say, internet buddies. so can't we all just get along?
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jS0nA.jpg[/img_thumb] I'll just dump spiffy outtakes from shoots then and float around.
oh the drama Let the man post his pictures.
oh the drama Let the man post his pictures.
This is just carrying it on. Let it slide now.

here's me on my bass when we preformed the song "tambourine in thyme" by Nana Grizol. To comment on what everyone is saying about karlhungus, just to get my opinion out there. I don't like the kind of pictures he does. They look professional and I can tell that they are well made and taken by a photographer who knows what he does, but personally they just aren't my kind of photos. That's no reason why he shouldn't get to post here though, I think the thread should be open to all who wants to post.
[img_thumb]http://www.filedump.net/dumped/dsc01581301758460.jpg[/img_thumb]
saturation. street art. bikes. ME GUSTA.

Hopefully the shot I took with my Zenit 11 came out better as I was using the prime on that.
That bike picture is epic... I fucking love cycling man, here's me and my dear Gloria last summer. I'll put it on photobucket, don't wanna fire quick snaps onto my flickr, it's just to show my bike :) [img_thumb]http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee52/baron_of_bean_dip/234.jpg[/img_thumb]
