killerteacup,
I like the first 2, although the crop is kinda weird. the third is mega generic.

I posted this at the end of the last page - although before LarparNar, so feel like I'm cheating a little bit.
Nice tones on those shots though mate.
Have a bonus - I think I've posted it before, but linked from my facebook which rapes the quality. I don't know why it's so noisy... Maybe because the exposure was 30 seconds. It was about 3am. No light around at all. High off our faces, although those days are long gone.
killerteacup,

I have a few of the bird but yeah, its pretty boring. Was trying to focus on just getting everything right in terms of a background and stuff like that and not worrying about the actual content of the picture so much. Also the crop being weird is more the fault of the environment I was in, in both shots there wasn't much room to maneuver so when it came to cropping it was a bit difficult.
Thank you :buddy:

I quite like the first one, but the second one just doesn't make me feel anything at all.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but it seems more like a documentary photo, rather than a creative or artistic photo.

Also, I edited another shot from today:
stop down to 1.8-2, waaaay too soft. or post a smaller image.
I was walking while taking it, so I think the focus might be a bit off.

Not making an excuse for my shitty photography though, just informing you on why it's like that.
stop down to 1.8-2, waaaay too soft. or post a smaller image.
Agreeing on that part. 1.4 is a bit too low for a view like that one.
Here's one that's quite a bit sharper:

Once it's done uploading.
Here's a better picture of that woodpecker I took.

his focus is a bit off. it's fairly sharp (see the trees)
I love greater spotted woodpeckers.
We have them all over campus, although I only saw my first one last year.

Also, the last picture of a bird wasn't a woodpecker.
Isn't it?
EDIT: Oh wait... There were different birds on the same tree I heard knocking on.

Is THIS a woodpecker maybe? Not so good on different kinds of birds.
Ignore me. Thought you were someone else haha!

Okay, managed to find two of the files from Hong Kong, but there's nothing else left... :(
But I like these two. The expressions in the first and the business of the second:

Kinda annoying that their faces are a little blown out, but I love the light and forest. It's on my campus. I love how much green space we have in the Uni's grounds.
Thanks guys!

Lots of DoF!! or bokeh...
