Just had a beer in the garden of an old abandoned building on my road with my friend Aaron and my girlfriend. They're selling it with plans to knock it down and rebuild, but it's so beautiful it's such a shame. Will post a photo later. [editline]19th April 2011[/editline] Also, Brian, I like that shot - nice backdrop.
So much photoshop!
Im going to the funeral on wednesday I want to bring my camera, should I? Small Edit: I know exactly how you feel bopie, it feels incredibly disrespectful
Im going to the funeral on wednesday I want to bring my camera, should I?
Best to just leave it behind. I suppose you could get some shots of the 'behind the scenes' stuff if your with the family, but viewing and ESPECIALLY service = no camera. He doesn't have the shots up yet, but this is a relevant read.
So, i decided i'm going to focus on black and white for a while. I like it, it's subtle and draws your eyes to the rocks. There may be some more suitable subjects to do that on?
Ofcourse The only hard bit about tilt shift photography is that the best way to capture it is to take a photo from higher ground

I'm super worried about wearing out my shutter doing timelapses... does it concern you? Should I just do it and hope it lasts?
I'm super worried about wearing out my shutter doing timelapses...
I only did one and stopped for that exact reason. This guy, I see, is shooting video though.
I'm super worried about wearing out my shutter doing timelapses... does it concern you? Should I just do it and hope it lasts?
The way I see it is that's like saying I don't want to take pictures because I don't want to wear out my shutter. If you want to take a time lapse just do it. Or buy a camera with an electronic shutter and a remote.
I'm super worried about wearing out my shutter doing timelapses... does it concern you? Should I just do it and hope it lasts?
Taking a video for a timelapse is many levels worse for the sensor. Photo sensors aren't made to be left on for hours at a time. I've put 30,000 clicks on my 5d2 since I got it in October, it's perfectly fine. Leaving my camera on for a time-lapse would probably be the easiest night its had.

The reason the D90 can only shoot video for 5 min is because it's actually prone to overheating.
