I had my maths prelim today, what highers you taking?
English today.. that SUCKED! The close reading was balls solid then I spent 13 mins writing the essay then changed my mind on what question I was doing so I started again :/ Computing, Business, English, Drama, Int2 Graph Com - (Took it as higher and they wouldn't let me take it as higher 'cause I was crashing it >:( ) You?
I can't work miracles, but I hope to provide an example. [img_thumb]http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/2839/bvaaaa.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/1886/exampl.jpg[/img_thumb]
I really think that's too high key for the image. It looks like it should be depressing and gray, and high key is definitely the opposite of that, at the very least in this picture.
Le Mac has warmer colours now too, shall post a colourful photo later and see what you guys think if its off by much or not.
I hear ya. Let me try one more thing, though. I put the whitebalance back to the way it was, but left everything else the way i changed it originally. [img_thumb]http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/1377/sdsdi.jpg[/img_thumb]
Can someone make me one of those lens avatars of an EF 24-105MM L Canon USM L Lens? I'll be getting one soon thats why :buddy:
I really do like it bopie, the problem is that I feel like it looses it's atmosphere. Albeit though it makes a good photo that way too mate.
Gotcha. just trying to offer some perspective :) I'll leave your image alone now :v:
I like it a lot. I also took some photos of just outside of my town. Where the farms are. Have a look! [Images] From the opinion of an Icelander. Iceland is a cold cruel place, but is also beautiful in it's own way during the winter. Then the summer comes and everyone loves it.
All of them are Underexposed, Try bumping up the exposure next time. Colors are also kind of "Blah." Try running them through lightroom and bump up the colors a little bit. My T1i has a settings menu that allows me too do that from within the camera (Set Contrast, Vibrance, Saturation, Etc.) Keep your Horizons level when doing landscape. Crooked lines, in most cases aren't very pleasing. All that aside, the Composition is Great. The 11th picture is my favorite.
Hey guys, my parents have a reaaaaally nice camera and it's not getting used for much, so I figured I should take up photography. It looks fun. :v: So, what should I start off with doing? Tips?

Canon EOS 450D... yeah, my dad's an idiot for buying it. No one in my family does photography and he only wanted it to take pictures of my brother surfing :/
My area really discourages me to go out and take photo's. I know you shouldn't say this because there is always something to find, but there really isn't much interesting stuff. Besides that, the lack of time to go further away is keeping me from finding cool areas in the already flat country I live in. I am kind of stuck with photography, while video is growing, mainly because I do a lot of video on school. Hmm

Things you see in daily life dont seem interesting at all to you. People who look at your photos though have probably never seen these places EVER. go take some god damn photos

That's the fun of photography for me, a little adventure from time to time and maybe trespassing in places I could be shot for going on, especially at night! :v: The joy of living in Nirish countryside!
What do you guys think?
I am confus to what it actually is, a bunker or something? The colours are great and that sky is beautiful!
It's a bunker.
Holy fuck, I love the light in that one.
What do you guys think? [img_thumb]http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5211/5401744133_ccff697316_z.jpg[/img_thumb]
Can I ask... what do you do to take a photo like this.. what settings?
Can I ask... what do you do to take a photo like this.. what settings?
It was morning and wanted to get some big shadows and hard light on the bunker. I walked around it to see where the shadows were best. Always think "maybe this shot will look 1000x better if I go 5 (or more) feet back/forth/left/right. ISO 100 f/3,2 1/640 sec Post processed in Lightroom added some brightness and contrast. Adjusted the whitebalance and threw in a bit of split-toning. Splittoning is not hipster (I need to defend myself), only if it's used wrong. Otherwise it's the shit.
Just got a Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar 2/100 ZF T* for a quarter of its retail price :woop: Various test shots http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/DSC_7208.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/DSC_7240.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/DSC_7259.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/DSC_7269.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/IMG_5578.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/IMG_5586.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/IMG_5597.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/IMG_5604.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/IMG_5611.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4608952/zeiss/IMG_5616.jpg

ISO 800 18mm f/3.9 1/1000sec :wtc: An EXTREMELY bright day! Wow! Sun must be only 2 feet away, or is it just me ??
800 is pretty high tbh i can't shoot 800 film outside at all, my shutter isn't fast enough. i easily hit 1/4000 on ISO 100 @ 1.4, but then again thats 1.4
Pumped for my 1.8
