I actually wanted to do it even more so 'in the background' with the camera in another room focused on the TV or something with the levitation happening out of focus in the other room, seen through the doorway - but I just couldn't get the scene to look right.

You're lucky if you have less than 5 hot pixels, usually, especially at high ISOs. (400+ with a 1000D).

They're very easy to fix, so not really a problem.

They come and go, usually after every exposure.

Try to turn down the magenta tones by turning up the green tones in it. This might help it look more "natural".

aw, great, now everyone's talking about the levitation thing. I mentioned I was gonna do this -technically- a few pages back, but accidentally posted my post in the gold members RC thread, didn't realize for a day, then forgot to post it back here when I deleted it there v:sweatdrop:v

anyways, I got a neat idea for a self-portrait.
