Well, my house has been flooded in the beginning of december, so I haven't really been able to get on the computer properly, especially to do photo stuff. :(
Pretty big update incoming!
On a side note, today I have acquired a Zenit 300mm f/4.5 lens, complete with a "MADE IN USSR" inscription on it. More on this at some point later, after I've went out and used it properly. So far it's looking pretty awesome though, quality seems on par with the canon 50mm f/1.8 (which is pretty good).

I missed seeing that old avatar about, welcome back! Those photos are great, what lens are you using?
Thanks! Most of them were taken with a Tamron 28mm f/2.5; four of them, I think, were taken with a Mamiya/Sekor 135mm f/2.8, and the very last one with the aforementioned 300mm lens.
All of them are old, manual, M42 mount lenses, but they're rather good.
Yeah holy shit nice shots. I think my favorite is the dog shot overall, although the others are just smashing.
Thought you guys may appreciate this.
Last week in Photography class we discussed lenses (wide-angle, telephoto, normal) and our teacher had this lens as an example:

Today, he 'quizzed' us, showing us what looked like the same lens. We all said it was telephoto and he replied:
Well, the lens last week was a telephoto lens. This, is a coffee mug.

I'm not so sure; I think every time I'd hold it, it would make me sad about not being able to afford anything close to a lens like that.

an awesome fairy snow globe
It would be better if the light was casting on her upper torso/face. Right now the light is drawing attention to the rabbits, but they aren't really the subject of the photograph.

yeah it was really hard to control (or know) where the light was going to reflect to from my flash. it's tricky, but i personally like how she has the shadow and not the rabbits. it makes it seem like the light source is relly coming from behind, but it's not.

I'm more than willing to bet canon saw how much DR's cup was selling for and decided to cash in on it thinking it was trendworthy, rather than a charity and authentic collector's item.
Woohoo got a snow day today, so I'm off of school. Hopefully I'll be able to go out and take a few shots. I feel like there is a lot of potential for shooting in the snow but I'm unsure exactly how to approach it.

I've never done a shot like that.

Hey same here.
I'm tempted though
Bear in mind that these are some of my first shots and I have absolutely no knowledge in photography. Though i'm keen to learn.

This be my friend's cat, his name is Marty.
And I took the picture while I was just sitting around.
Woah, that's pretty damn cool. The straight stare coupled with the low-ish angle is a nice effect.
