Wow, thank you. The flower is originally just plain yellow but I thought that looked a bit boring so I fiddled a bit in Photoshop. That doesn't count as cheating does it? All I did was duplicate the layer, apply a blue hue and set the blend mode to Soft Light...
you and me are alike i think PP is cheating aswell

I live not a mile from it. I'm pretty happy with it, I like how it goes with the green vinyl.

Trying a sort of LatirCole style photography. I lost my inspiration some time ago and I am trying to get it back by using different styles of photography. So instead of coming across things I can photograph, I am searching and creating things to photograph. Thanks Latir for the inspiration! I liked my first attempt on the page before this one better but whatever.
Congratulations Latir, you are now a style bopie you can't join in it's mainstream now [img]http://static.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img] [editline]1:11[/editline] that's revenge for tagging me as your PBR can, haha

I can only show 2 images for now, most of mine are very wide ISO: 200 Exposure: 1/250 sec Aperture: 8.0 Focal Length: 55mm ISO: 1250 Exposure: 1/30 sec Aperture: 3.5 Both shot on a D5000
Just a quick snapshot, testing my new SB-600 on a friend. It was definitely worth the money.
Nice picture, and I agree, a good flash unit is extremely worth it, I'd rather have one and a kit lens than have no flash unit and a 50mm f/1.4 (thankfully I have both <3)

£209 for the SB-600? I need to get a job and fast. I got my tripod today which was a good buy, so with a reliable one I'm more motivated to go out in dusk/darkness and get some cool shots. It hit me today that my photographs don't have any people in them, at least the serious ones and I'd like to do some portrait work because lots of people find that interesting. How will I persuade my friends to stop joining groups on Facebook for a few hours to pose about on a shoot?!

[img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/ec3RNE.jpg[/img_thumb]
Yeah I used my 600 bouncing off the back wall to get the lighting in the two shots I just posted. There is no way I can live without my flash anymore. The artistic freedom and ability to be more creative that it gives you is just spectacular.

I'm thinking about dropping money on a Speedlite 580 for my Canon 7D. I can't make myself do it though. With my old 450D I had a YongNuo unit from DealExtreme that only fired half of the time and had a horrible recycle rate. Edit: Content Okay, I have a question. When working in photoshop, everything looks good! Blacks appear black and such, but outside of it they are much more dull, for example viewing a .psd in Picasa or having saved it as a .jpg or even a .png. Could my color profile be messed up or something?

Might be a nice picture but no ones going to be able to see the full thing.
