Taking a week long trip to my grandparents in Hatfield near Doncaster over half-term, going to spend most of my time doing photography as there is some really amazing scenery around there. Also my dad said I could get some paid work doing some shots of the new studio at his work.

I hate it when that happens. Few days back they delivered my Pentax but I was still sleeping. I heard the doorbell ring and was a bit confused but then I realized it could be my package. I overdrived myself downstairs with my t-shirt on backwards and got my package. After opening it, I saw my girlfriend come downstairs with a huge 'what the shit' face.
Totally worth it.

It's really annoying - why isn't there a third party 35mm 1.8 for roughly the same price as the Nikon at least. Surely this is a massive gap in the market for crop sensor DSLRs..

It's pretty awesome. The extra ISO steps are great (Why Nikon have this and Canon don't even though the support is there is beyond me), focus peaking is cool, zebras, etc.

2 large softboxes, with Bowens flash units, one from the right and one from above and slightly to the left, I can't recall the flash model at the moment.

Whenever I take a photo, it always looks alot better in the camera live-view than on my PC.
Colors and everything just pop more.
