yes... but it's predominately low key, as nearly all low-key pictures are high contrast, and not vice versa. though there are some low-contrast low-key pictures too, usually with a very subtle edge highlight

although the theme almost feels a little forced due to the awkwardness of the gas mask wearer, it still comes together really well with the foggy, drab environment and creates a nice scene and atmosphere. I like this shot a lot

In my opinion, this would look better if they weren't looking at the camera.
Went up into the mountains today for a drive and to take some photos...My first time doing any real photography, and even still most if not all of it is generic amateur point&shoot photos but i figured I'd post them here anyways, maybe some of you will like the sights if nothing else.

The pose makes me so angry. It looks as though you were going for humor, but the fog completely offsets the mood. If you went for a more depressing pose, this would have ended up really nice.

When you are looking at a photo in Flickr, go to Share this in the top left area just above your image, click "Grab the HTML/BBCode", click BBCcode, select the size, copy and paste and bam.
Lens flare looks like it came from photoshop as I'm used to seeing it used from it rather than seeing real world examples! Looks like a great area, I think your panoramas came out nicely! Documenting is where I started, took photos of anything and everything. Go on from that and you can start to document some really amazing photos.
You find your old P&S to be limiting? You don't need a DSLR to take great shots. You'll feel confident with one for sure and that can help you get better results, knowing what your camera can do well and its limitations is important.

"Hey I have all these and don't know what to do with them so you can go through it all and see if you need anything"

my reasoning was that that way no matter what specific reason that I give my card to someone it will still have the applicable information without being forgettable ie: "where can i see you photos" "just go to my website and click the flickr link" is easier than "flickr.com/photos/jhaslehurst"

Kinda experimenting with this.
So I'm planning on making a Timelapse of a sunset, but I can't do that for another 2 months or so. So I wondered, how large should my SD card be for a good Timelapse, around 2-4gb? (seeing as I thought around 1000 pictures would do).
So if I took 1000 pictures, and put them on playback with 25-30 frames per second, I'd get like what, a 30-40 second long movie, which in my opinion is good enough for a first time.
So if there's anyone here that have made timelapses of sunsets/dawns, what should take in consideration and stuff? Like, what should my camera options be, positions, angles and so on.
Any help is appreciated.
