I was out tonight at a club, on the way home while talking about my uni course interview next month for Photography with my friends, the taxi driver said he was a photographer too and asked about it, said he wish he went for it years ago and I told him its never too late. Nice shots, lighting has been pretty horrible at the local gigs I've been at too! Can you autofocus with your 1.8?

there was a light which cast a horrid shadow on her mouth off the mic, and was filled by a red light from another side.
Yeah it AFs fine when the light is bright, but sometimes I had to aim at at something bright like the mic, hold and photograph.

I want to know what automerge is. FUCK I WANT TO TAKE PICTURES OF MY BAND PLAYING WITH A DSLR SO BAD. Maybe my school photography teacher will let me borrow one if I say its for my shutter speed assignment and they will look super cool. She might say yes, she was kinda blown away by those jumping pics I took.

I was bored today and done this... probably should have thought about lighting a bit more but meh, all I have is a camera. I think I'm gonna do a series of clone pictures, trying to think up cool and challenging scenarios.

I would have enjoyed this one a lot more if you put a tilt on the camera, and revolved around her head to the left. Taking the flow of the subject matter into consideration is very important. If the dominant subject is leaning towards a direction, it's sometimes nice to do the same.

D7000 so his Flickr says. I googled Canon 14A and it got results for a printer? The majority here are Canon users I find. Any reason why that is?

Uber, that colour of red is the best red! A tilt can really add to a photo, I tried it once with my dads car and it to me at least, it worked out really well.

I like the beach photo for how 2/3rds of it is the beach. Bryan Peterson said that having a horizon photo where its 50/50 with sky and ground is like a tie in a sports match, no one wants a tie. Nice silhouettes!

Canon vs Nikon could compared to Intel vs AMD.
Both are very strong in particular areas, and both have their weaknesses, but the majority seem to favor a particular side.
I chose Canon because I find it has a better upgrade path from entry level than Nikon does.
