These are much better! You could've made the second a bit more interesting if you included one or two persons sitting at the table, but overal nice color and play of lines.
Thanks! I need to start bringing along people with me so I can boss them around to be in my pictures now
This asshole is the reason I don't want to go to school for photography. Go through any of his little galleries and you'll be blasted with :barf: worthy selective coloring and generic as fuck portraits. Go ahead and read his blog too if you want some motivation to kill yourself. [img_thumb]http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/3769/jackassd.jpg[/img_thumb] Yeah I'm up on my high horse, but I can not stand it when mediocre people think they're ultra pro. He writes those huge blog posts about his philosophies on how you should live your life so you can be awesome just like he is.
i didn't discover photography from high school year book (i wasn't even in that, i had journalism for the newspaper) i was shooting film before high school. but, i don't think i am going to find a lot of those guys where i want to go. i want to go to Academy of Arts in SF. but his photography is like the 2 projects you learn in high school, he hasn't progressed in talent at all!
couple of things, 1) turn down your noise reduction, the last photo just looks plain blurry. 2) I don't really see the point of the purple split-toning, if it's black and white leave it exactly that unless you have a good reason to do so otherwise.
it's a broken camera.
the worst examples of selective color are when people desaturate babies and only leave the flowers colored it's like cool, here's a dead baby
Lol, we were taught that damn selective coloring last year (I'm 14) in computers. I wanted to hit the teacher for even considering it. I see girls on Facebook all the time with terrible photos and then OH look! There's an umbrella in black and white! What a classic!
Took this one on my 5 weeks tour from Chicago to SanFran through the USA. I have a lot of good pics to show. Make thread? Y/N
a great example of selective desaturation is in the box for shindelers list
Watch "Pleasantville" for awesome examples of selective desat in moving pictures.
Ya, I was thinking about just getting the 60d instead. The only thing I hate is that the aperture is in the back of the camera as a round selection unlike the rebel series with has it set like the shutter speed except in the back as well. I can live with that though. I shot with a 40D earlier and I liked it quite a bit so you think I'll like the 60D much more?
I wouldn't know what you'd like more. That's completely your opinion. But the 60D is one sexy looking camera. ;D

I don't like it. The singing looks classical(aka not rock or rap or something) and the composition kind of breaks the message. I know how stupid I sound but I'd prefer a clean scene for this. [editline]23rd February 2011[/editline]
i hate winter mate its at the point where its just cold, wet, the sun is down too much by 5, and everything is still dead. i've got some girls that want to shoot but there isn't really anything i can do right now. well it wasn't rock or rap it was someone signing and somebody playing guitar in the background [editline]23rd February 2011[/editline] so yeah

Maybe the perspective is just not interesting for me.

If I were you I'd pick the utmost favourite photographs you've taken and post them here. Make a set in Flickr for all of them so anyone who is interested can view them all in a slideshow. So my mom SUCKS at even working a computer. Just last night she asked me how to turn it off when she was done. BUT somehow she was able to take these pictures last weekend while on the Isle of White! FFS Original [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/qkpC2.jpg[/IMG_thumb] My edit removing the cable across the screen. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/9I9rd.jpg[/IMG_thumb] [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/FWcDw.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
I like it more with the cable.
yeah. I kind of liked both of them but I asked some people I know and they said it would look nice without it. so I made it without it. The sun shining off the cable looks nice though.
makes your camera look bigger and more professional and people move out of your way more often, in the least. :v:
That's all you need then!
And the hood takes the hit, if you slam your lens into something.
This too, but less important So, what's a good free alternative to lightroom?

I think it would've been much better without the coke can. That mountain is freakin' gorgeous.
Got tons of the mountains aswell, they just look very dull I think.
