The Creative Photography Thread - If It Ain't Bokeh, Don't Fix It
No one had any comments on my generic strep throat infected photo? I quite liked it, despite some genericness.
It's kind-of unbalanced. The folding page gives the photograph flow to the bottom right, but that leaves too much weight on the left-side of the frame. Not a bad shot, but not very interesting either (basically I've seen that done one million and a half times before).
Still, I did like the lighting and dof on it.
Guess you don't like things in the centre huh?
Depends on the situation I guess.
Too yellow, Mr.M
It was shot a little bright too. This is something you have to get a feeling for, I've spent 6 months fine tuning it.
Try to get something like this

C&C much appreciated!
Hoooly shiiit nice! Only complaint is that his face should have been a tad bit more to the left (think 1-2mm). That way the bridge of his nose is a bit more in frame and there isn't so much negative space on the left. Perhaps even if you cropped in from the left a bit it would fix that.
Still probably only of my favorite shots I've seen posted here.

Yup. I know it's been done a million times before. I can't do much when I can't leave my house. :( But thanks for the feed back. :buddy:
Tis aye, one of the few moments the sun peaks out and the exposure value was still up.
am I getting another page king?

Fooling around and reducing the exposure sure helps as I got something similar going atm, danke for the tips! I've become a bit reliant on exposure value recently, guess its how dull some days can look with cloud.

Digging the first one. Second one is a bit too cluttered. I want to focus on the steam towers, but I also want to look at the dog. Maybe if the dog was a bit closer to the camera it would make it clearly stand out as the subject.

Lovely, that dog totally completes it.
I swear I've seen this like 3 times now. As much as it's a good photo, try not to hang on to past work too much.
I only posted it one other time, but yeah, I need to try and get into photography again. It's been a long while since I've done anything serious with it.

What do you think?
Is that SOOC?
Still getting the hang of my D3100 (After using a P&S for a long time), though I'm pretty happy with this picture:
Is that SOOC?
nope, I just tried to make it more defined, it was a bit too soft SOOC for my tastes
Aha, it's quite nice
I would have thought the old castle I grew up near would have a wealth of interesting and pretty photos, planned ways and thought what would look cool from what I remembered but they all came out pretty dull and I don't like any of them. Best do some more cloning tomorrow because that's interesting and lots of fun.

Bopie style SOOC on the FP York meetup today :v:
I like how this thread has turned from "creative photography" into "my bopie rip off".
