Some other shot I took along with the other one a page back or so, I was just fucking around in photoshop with the lighting and coloring on this one. Would be nice to get an opinion if this coloring scheme was decent though, I'm thinking of putting it in future shots. [editline]27th February 2011[/editline]
These are really incredible. Especially the second one. Looks like water.
I always try and shoot in RAW(sadly forgot to at Thorpe Marsh) as almost every day around here is like this, it lets you transform really dull shots and can create some interesting effects.
Well, I shot all of them in RAW - should I give a stab at altering the contrast? [sp]I found out last night that I had accidently left the camera in canons portrait colour setting - I think that alters the contrast.. oh well Ill give altering it a shot.[/sp]

Ok I've deleted the last two and replaced them with more warm, summery versions. May have overdone the first slightly - but oh well, still learning. Going to skip school tomorrow, and go to the local harbour instead. I hope I'll get a few good shots.

Bring school with you!
Take Schools of your pictures!
Oh god, what have I done?
Take Schools of your pictures!
???????
I'm going to be in the slums helping build swing sets. But obviously we are going to have breaks and downtime where I'm going to want to take some pictures. Any tips I should know?
It's the slums - even though places like these give you great photo opportunities, it can get pretty dangerous. If you upgrade, be sure not to lose all the gear to some swingset-hating Romanian kids. On a serious note, though, I think you can get a Nikon D60 easily with that budget (with an extra lens if you get a refurbished one). It's a neat amateur camera, I use it myself.

Theres going to be 50+ people with me at any given time so I don't think I'd have to worry that much about safety. I think the info slip said the local police will be patrolling the school during our volunteer hours. Thanks for the camera advice. I had no idea a D60 was possible for my budget. I'll defiantly be looking for that online in the coming months. ah shit. I just realized this was Creative Photography. I had both tabs opened... I'm so sorry.
Also, next time please use the correct thread ;)
Just testing out a trigger system I'm working on. Lighting is funky, but I had nothing else but the internal flash. I will be making a decent lighting rig some time in the future.

Wow, I really like that.
Very dirty kai, you're getting much better results than I am with foliage and dirt today. Quite happy with this, stopped in a narrow road with forests to my sides, explains the curve. I love my 50mm but I sometimes think its focused correctly and snap, look at it in Lightroom and its quite blurry. Kit lens doesn't have this problem but its not as yummy. A farmer stopped by me today near a row of abandoned farmsteads and houses that would have been excellent for creepy, haunted like photos. He asked what I was taking photos of and didn't seem convinced but let me go on when I said it was for a university interview (which it was). Regardless of that I started walking towards the building and a stupid dog started barking and grring. RRRRRRRR
