This shot is absolutely perfect composure wise, I think you could bring the colours out a bit more in Lightroom though.
Yeah, I just copied it from FB at the moment - Only just noticed how good it was.. [editline]8th March 2011[/editline] Ok, re-importing my LR catalogue (formatted), will touch it up and edit my post :)
God, I feel so uninspired. What do you think about having Facepunch Theme Photo Competitions? For example, every week we'd be given a theme (by Daijitsu for example) and we'd post pictures taken specifically that week. I'm not quite certain about prizes but we could figure something out. good idea y/n
Thats quite an awesome idea, would get me motivated to go out with my camera more often.
arghhhhh composure composure Do you actually mean the word composure this time or do you guys mess it up with composition? I honestly can't tell
Yes, that's exactly my point.
arghhhhh composure composure Do you actually mean the word composure this time or do you guys mess it up with composition? I honestly can't tell
Jesus how in the hell did I write that :/

Question for you guys. What do you like doing better, candid photography or setting up(staging) the image?
Oh MisterM I also forgot that I use a 3.5 fstop which is a bit higher than most people here. It's a fact that the smaller your aperture the more things come into focus
Updated my shot with more colour.
Oh MisterM I also forgot that I use a 3.5 fstop which is a bit higher than most people here. Its raining heavy and storms incoming, housebound for a while no doubt.
This kid messages me, saying how he loves my style, etc. so I agree to shoot him. We get out to the location, start shooting, and the whole time he's moping. I'm trying to be encouraging, throwing out ideas and conversational hooks, yet he still kinda shrugs me off. He definitely wasn't having fun. He starts showing me these elaborate concept-editorial fashion shots at old buildings etc, that obviously took more than a 5D2 and 50 1.4. He mentioned how other photogs were more prone to being rude, and I asked if that was discouraging, to which he replies, "Bitches get shit done" - implying that I was too passive, or something. It's free work from an amateur to another amateur, and he came to me. This kid needs to re-evaluate himself. He expected me to do everything while he sat there like an empty body. (I even drove him 20 mins to and from his house to the location.) To top it off, this is what's in his portfolio.

and did he do shit (ie pluck) his eyebrows?
Can somebody tell me why "The Un-Men" keeps rating perfectly fine posts as dumb, and never bothers to post why?
We actually did these kind of things before but they never really worked. The turn-up was pretty low
There seems to be a lot more activity here now. Me included, I wasn't around here then. I say we try it again cause I'm definitely in. Motivation plummeted over winter.
Sorry to say but... his hair is truly foul. Nice shot though!
Yep. It's a tad embarrassing having him on my name, but hey, it was experience and now I have a moderately funny story to tell. Thanks for the compliment btw :)
