Are you using the darts that came with the gun? I know one issue with the Maverick is that it's very picky about the length of the dart, some of them (I know the velcro-tipped ones do for sure) will jam the gun if they have not been shaved down to an appropriate length.
I've also had similar issues when I've taken other guns apart and there's some tiny little spring I forget to reattach. I've never actually modded a Maverick, does it have anything like that that could be misconnected?

Longshot or Longstrike.
Longshot = Scoped. It has a longer range without the front barrel attachment which also has a gun in that too.
Longstrike: Looks badass, feels badass, but has a slightly shorter range. Newer. Looks a ton like ACR or Fallout 3 Laser Rifle. attachable Ironsight, 3 in 1, or with the front barrel attachment (Just for looks on this) has another flip up iron sight for a built in one. Looks good with a scope, a lot like M21 EBR with scope and front barrel attachment.
Can't remember name. It's customizable. Lots of choices. No ironsights, attachable ironsights like Lonstrike included. Can turn into pistol, stock removable.
Raider CS-6. Very accurate. Drum mag.
All mag fed, good range. Raider does not have attachment slots. First three do, with front barrel attachers and rails for a light with the customizable one, scope, or attachable ironsights.

The first two are $20-30 dollars. Third one I think is like 25, and last one I dunno, the drum fed one. I recommend the drum-fed semi auto and Longstrike, and if you have enough money the Longshot as well. That's 4 guns, Longshot has a front barrel pistol.

oh yeah buy LOTS of Streamline darts. They're the ones that have a small orange cap on the front, no velcro. The cap is slightly smaller than the tube.

Haha, actually, the ToysRUs near my college claims that they only reason they're still in business is because of all the college students buying nerf guns and related accessories. I haven't found too much of a price gap between ToysRUs and Walmart, but ToysRUs definitely has a much better selection
I think the main difference between kids with nerf guns and 20 year olds with nerf guns is that the 20 year olds do their best to mod them to leave welts.

I just had a massive nerf war yesterday with a bunch of friends. I have a Maverick, Vulcan, Raider and Recon blasters. And I bought an ammo box of streamline darts with 100 darts inside. :smug: I fucking hate losing darts.
