Awesome first shot.
I think the colours and tones are wonderful in that shot. Just a nice amount of red set against the greys and greens. Alright, here are a few shots from Berlin last week. I'll get to uploading my other favourites later. Got exams this week. Here's another tilt-shift photo :buddy:
Ancient photo, just found it again, thought it could do with a little touch up.
I wish you would post how you touch up your landscapes in the tutorials thread.
It varies so much, it would be hard to do, it's not just a single method.
It varies so much, it would be hard to do, it's not just a single method.
Examples of what you did for some of your best photos would still be useful though.
Major effort, and I don't think I can remember, a lot of things I do are really subtle and per photo rather than a technique. Gimme and example and I'll try remembering what I did.

I like it but would have been better if you used your 50 1.8 instead of kit lens to blur out the houses in the background.
Shot's like that are much more fun to look at, movement and reaction tells so much. I try to find a subject that looks mysterious or seems like it has a story behind it. By the way I'm starting a 365 project when I get my Tamron 17-50. [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] Wow ninja posts.
Speaking of 365, I'm currently on 456/365. I got to the end, but it had become such a massive part of my life I didn't want to stop. It wasnt a photography 365 though, it was more of a documentary... but it's what inspired me to buy my first SLR a few months back. I plan on doing it forever.
Now that's more like it. I want to see more like this!
why? no offence but it's an incredibly boring picture.
nah mate, flat stuff with shallow DoF is stupid remember?
It's not really a matter of that It's just that it doesn't work in every situation and then as an artist you should try to expand your horizons and do much more! [editline]9th May 2011[/editline]
why? no offence but it's an incredibly boring picture.
Everyone has different opinions
why? no offence but it's an incredibly boring picture.
love you too i know its boring but its the first time i actually wanted to take a picture of something not interesting (to me) and with a small bit of editing felt it was worth posting. got a problem with my photograpy? don't look at it. simple.
I never really seem to get comments on my stuff at all even if I'm asking for criticism, I do really need to improve my photography though.

And yeah, the weather here in Glasgow's been pretty messed up as well. Was sunny most of the day, then suddenly exploded rain everywhere for about 20 minutes, then back to sunny.
yeah, there was thunder as well
It's sunny as fuck in Denmark, which is weird, cause it usually pisses down every other day.
yeah, there was thunder as well
There was lightning here on Saturday striking in Holyrood Park (I live right next to it). Cool stuff.
