I hate having seldom good landscapes near me.
Kai bokeh master, you ought to get to the CHOPPA AUGAIEARAI'MARNOLD and take some uber shots over a mountain range.
I've got a fucking brilliant opportunity to take some great photos coming up, it's a 212 mile adventure through the Scottish highlands for charity. You can read/donate here if you're interested http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1087262-I-m-trekking-212-miles-accross-Scotland-for-charity-and-I-need-your-help.

Flowers are typically not a good idea to be used as a subject, since they are overused to the point that they become un-interesting in photos. I do however like the 3rd one, good use of shallow DoF.
Was out just walking around for a few hours earlier. Got some shots that might be good, but I always think my own shots are crap (with a few exceptions).
CC appreciated.

I don't think they'll let me unfortunately
I'm wondering if I should start using this sport I do as a subject for my photos, as there are only 2-3 photographers that regularly take photos of it.

Would you guys find them as an interesting subject?
I normally try not to whine about the lack of scenery where I live, because I know I should really be going out farther if I want to get awesome shots.
But jesus nonikai, I am so jealous.

And yeah b-hazard, as long as they're taken well I'm sure they would be interesting.
benefits of living in a fjord
The only really amazing spots in Massachusetts that I can think of are some of the mountains around the area, but I don't hike much at all.
Or cape cod, but it's such a tourist place that most of the natural appeal is gone. Parts of the vineyard are still pretty cool looking though.

mmmmm i like this
This feels unfinished, I just wish I got a second shot at this, as I was kinda in a rush driving past this area (not the image I was refering to in the off-topic thread).

I know flowers are not really that interesting, but I was locked out and had to wait for ~40 mintues for my father to get home, so I just passed some time in the great weather. I greatly appreciate the criticism anyhow.
I would like to have a better focus function, because my phone camera doesn't really go beyond "focus at the bitch, take picture", so I have to kinda trick it by putting my hand in the distance that the flower is to my camera, focus, remove hand and take the picture.
stop making excuses and go and take pictures
Ok I think I'm just going to drive until I see something even slightly interesting.

My editing process involves playing with the sliders until something looks nice. I rarely retouch parts of my photos because I am terrible at it.

i never retouch
I only play with the sliders and sometimes adjust the value of the levels
I could dodge and burn but that's not up my alley really, never feel like it's worth the effort
sometimes I sharpen certain parts or blur certain parts (sometimes trying to create a tilt shift effect)

love this one
Just found out my dad has 2 or 3 Hasselblad's (not the new kind, but the old ones) and some 35mm film he's had in the fridge for lord knows how long. Maybe I'll finally get to experiment with film! He also had a Nikon F3 I believe laying around here somewhere with multiple lenses and a bellows for it. Awesome!
I'm stoked to try my hand at shooting film! Plus he's gonna try to buy back his old darkroom stuff from my cousin (she bought it and never uses it). Hopefully this Summer I'll have a chance to shoot film!

The autofocus sounds like a friggin' bee, not very good for discreet shots, but it's lovely otherwise :D 2.8, right?
