We had an electrical storm here in London last night. Walked outside to get a better view of it with my brother and managed to get a shot of him standing there with the lightning in the background.

When you have pictures that fill up more than even my 1920x1080 monitor, people won't appreciate them much. Especially because all the noise and imperfections become more apparent.

Personally I only think watermarks should only ever be used if people are making money off their images, even if it's an unobtrusive one like yours.

A watermark just says "Fuck off, this is my image", but I just added the watermark for
:downs: and :frog:s.
If you keep all your images on Flickr then there isn't much point on using a watermark, since you can prove it's yours.

indeed. So long as you have the earliest provable upload date, you're golden (when you catch someone). Watermarks are a bit more passive in that it prevents people from trying as much in the first place.

I use my phone as my secondary camera, seeing as it takes better photos than a lot of point and shoots.

Shame there's a spec of dust trapped under the lens though, which shows up in low light video recording. I'm not sending it back just for that though.
The quality of the iPhone 3GS's camera is shit anyways, and whoever thought it was a good idea to make the image STRETCH out like that is a huge cunt

Picked up a new lens at goodwill today
It's a Nikon Nikkor F mount 50mm f1.8 Prime AI-s series. Damn Nikon has such complicated lens names. It's the first in its series, and it's from 1979 I think. It's all clean and awesome, and while I don't have a Nikon body the lens was $10 so I couldn't pass is up (runs upwards of $80 on ebay, if I'm feeling selfish I might sell it).

I electrical taped it to my canon mount, which turned up decent results (albeit having the closest focus be like 3-4 feet instead of 1.5)
