Pack of geese. I missed the same pack flying over-head while I was trying to repair my bike, would have been an amazing shot :smith:
You can make out the heads of a second pack of about five of them coming my way in the background near the grass.

The geese where I live are hostile. They run [i]towards[/i] you with there beaks open making a cracked out hissing sound, even at cyclists. Don't dare make eye contact when their babies are around.

Yeah, the geese over here are very attck-y too. there is this one park in Berkly where the geese and swans will sneak out of the bushes and attack people on park benches by pulling on their hair.

Don't want to be harsh but you really need to take pictures of things other than your friends with shallow DoF while chilling. You live in Scotland for fucks sake, you could to great street photog and landscapes, yet I have never seen you produce much of either. The bike one is cool but the composition does feel a little weird.

Whenever I take a photo, I look at the subject or scene and think "is this interesting?"

If it isn't, I don't post it.

Like in this example, I thought the mushrooms were pretty neat.

I know what you guys mean.
I have plenty of other photographs of my friends - many of which I'm sure you'd recognise - that I don't post here.
It's just the ones that I think that offer some sort of subjective meaning that I post. Ones that could be interpreted in a particular way.

That's not to say that all of the images I post don't actually reflect what was happening when I took the photo, but I think it's important with any self expression that the viewer gets to interpret the image in the way that they want.

That's the beauty of something like photography, music, art etc. - there are so many tastes and opinions that there's bound to be someone who appreciates your work (whether or not it is in the same way that you do).
