It's definitely an interesting subject, but the framing is very poor. The Lamp is distracting and covers the ass of glass, and the entire frame of the panel is leading off the edges. Recompose the show and it'll be much better.

these guys were doing homemade 8-bit chiptune stuff. pretty cool.
wtf after ordering my 7D from digitalrev I got an email saying "Risk Assessment Has Been Triggered for Your Order", so I had to provide valid ID and proof of address etc. I did that, and I still didn't pass. what.
It didn't even tell me why I didn't pass risk assessment. I used the same details and account to buy my lens, so why wouldn't it work now?
i aM mad :(
did you buy it on credit?
did you buy it on credit?
i don't know what you mean by that, i'm retarded when it comes to bank terms.
i purchased it through paypal. I'll purchase it again tomorrow but through direct bank transfer instead.
like buy it so you pay it off a bit at a time
I've missed out on so many photo ops lately due to weather :( Lighting up my bitch.

if you bought it through paypal, that means you bought it with debit, which means that you had the money and they took it out of where you had the money stored (paypal or bank) and bought it that way. Credit is where you don't have the money but you do give them a number and that number is owned by a credit card company and they charge you later for it, but also charge you for the convenience. :eng101:

ah that cleared things up, cheers.
the email I got suggested to just send the payment via bank transfer instead of paypal, so I don't have to go through that risk assessment shit.
Dear customer,
Thanks for the email.
Regarding your inquiry, we are writing to inform you that your order, 2******, did not pass our risk assessment process. Therefore, we had to cancel your order. Should you decide to place another with us, we would suggest for you to send payment via bank transfer instead.
Thanks for shopping with us. Hope to hear from you again.
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
Sammy

Hows the focus issue?
Anyway, loads of trees fell over last night in the high winds. I took this looking down from the fallen top of the tree.

As expected, some focus issues. Nothing that couldn't be corrected by micro-adjust :)
It's a great lens by the way. Surprised it's pretty sharp, even at f1.4
nearly finished my exams, then i'm going to go on a shooting spree. (photography shots, that is)
my last exam is tomorrow, then im a free man

Looking forward to seeing them :)
I think I am going to try B&W photography for a while. Pickwickian you posted some nice pictures and as I never really tried it, now seems the time.
Thanks DoubleDD.
I tend to go in phases of shooting black and white - whether it's film or digital.
Probably ends up being around 50% of my shots.
Only thing is, when shooting B&W on digital, I set my camera to monochrome. I don't like converting them later. I like being restricted to SHOOTING in black and white, rather than converting them later.
I know I could lose a lot of pp options when doing that, but you tend to look for different things in Black and White.
My favourite shot I've ever taken was black and white:
