Creative Photography Thread v4 - ISO horny!

Hnnng can't decide between Nikon 24 2.8, 28 2.8, or 35 1.8.

On my D90 they end up becoming 43mm, 50mm, and 63mm respectively. The difference between the 24 and 28 is $100 though. The 35 is just a few dollars cheaper than the 28.

Hmmm decisions, decisions. Ideas?

at the prices, I'd say rule out the 28 given the price vs zoom comparison to the other two. what other lenses do you have right now?

50 1.8, and 18-105 kit lens (and then a few specialty lenses, macro, super tele, etc).

I use the 50 almost exclusively because of how fast it is, but the crop is too significant to be as practical as I like.

if I were you I'd aim for the 24, but at the same time I've got a 50 and have been eyeing the sigma 30 1.4 for a while now. if it's worth the extra hundred bucks to have 50mm equivalent, I suppose the 28's still in the running.

looking on amazon, the 24mm costs $100 more than the 28, not the other way around. 28 all the way

Oh yeah, haha, I worded it wrong. The 28 is cheaper. Yeah I'm probably picking one up next week.

Taken a little over an hour ago. Graduation Day at the United States Air Force Academy. Lucky for me, the graduation is like 4 miles away, and the Thunderbirds pull hard G maneuvers right over my house.

I have 6 gigs of pictures like this on my PC at the moment, meticulously going through all of them to try and get at least one or two good photos posted somewhere for some exposure.
