It's all clouds moving in the sky, with one sunrise scene.

Yes, I love Ulrich Schnauss.

Not really a brilliant shot, but there's just something about the colours, and that lone cloud, can't explain it. What do you guys think?

what did you do charlieee
I think it looks quite good (Uber Noob), I like the bordering houses at the bottom. Shame about the reflection though.
I took this as a spur of the moment thing when I saw this cool light in-front of my window, but I forgot to shoot it in RAW and I underexposed it slightly due to the sun. What do you guys think?

I must say i don't like the flare of the sun in this picture.
I can see some traces of it near the sidewalk on the right (exactly in the corner).
If the flare wasn't so prominently on this picture it would have been better imo.
It's because my kit lens is the terrible older version that is generally crap, I had a lens hood on and it still had flare.
I need a new lens :v:
Also something I don't think I have posted yet:

does that let you go everwhere?
Well that's a nice picture.
I like the way the focus is on the car.
I see in the EXIF of your picture you still use the 18-55mm kitlens?
So you are looking for a new lens?
Personally think the ideal kit lens replacement for really cheap is a Canon EF 24-85 USM, i can get that lens for like 60 euros here, and it's really good.

A hood wouldn't have helped in that case, hoods are for light sources which are out of the field of view of the lens.

What made that worth it?
This may sound silly but when describing lenses, what does the f/ mean?
Thanks
This may sound silly but when describing lenses, what does the f/ mean?

The largest possible aperture for that lens.
This may sound silly but when describing lenses, what does the f/ mean?

Size of the aperture opening.
f/2.8 would mean the aperture diameter is (focal length) divided by 2.8.
Smaller number is thus a wider aperture, which lets in more light and makes the depth of field more shallow. (How deep the area of focus is).

Experimenting with my built in flash. If you use it right. In enclosed environments you can get some awesome looking high key shots.

It basically just needs bouncing and diffusing. It's just kinda awkward to do it with the way it's on the camera. It would be nice if they had a swivel head for the flash instead of a pop-up mechanism.

That's would be pretty sweet. Using a playing card is very effective at both diffusing and bouncing.
