If you didn't cut the top of the stencil off at the top it would be perfect. Framing!
I don't normally post my airsoft stuff in here, but this long exposure (indoor) with ISO 100 turned out reeeaaally purty I think. Straight off camera with no adjustments other than a resize.

wow, how dark is it in there that your 50mm 1.8 still needed 1.6 seconds to expose?

I'm not sure if you're reading the metadata or I recited the wrong ISO, but the room is a bit darker than your average incandescently lit room without sunlight. I'm not completely familiar with exposure length yet (I mean I know the difference between 1/30 and 30") but I'm surprised that 1.6 is a bad figure, the T2i is usually praised for it's low light performance so I'd figure it would be a better exposure time.
Also, interesting thought on Mass Effect, in my mind I've always regarded the weaponry with a more blue-ish or silvery hue, with lots of LED and fancy features, but it's cool that you thought of it.

Oh cool, bookmarking this :D Anyways, thanks a lot, it's really awesome to hear that you and everyone else like my work so far, hopefully I still have room to improve too, I'm loving this hobby. Photography is the greatest accidental discovery I've made in a looong time.

I saw some people talking about starting up a 365. I'd be willing to start one. What if someone created a 365 megathread and we all posted ours in there. That way it'd be really easy to keep track of and see the progression people are making.
Hell it'd even be really cool if we all started on about the same day.

A 365 is a project sort of thing where people have to take a picture every day and post it, hence 365 (one for every day of the year). It's a pretty popular thing.

I was already planning on making one of those but a lot of people saying a 365 mega-thread won't be much use.
I can see it not being of much use if people don't have 365s but seeing as there's renewed interest it might be a good idea.
