The building is a bit overdone, otherwise I think it's more than fine.

Overdone? I don't know.. I'm conflicted.

They're pretty boring and I'm not a fan of them at all, but compared to earlier shots I've done they're a bit better. I think I just need to keep looking at other people's photos
Also there has obviously been some post processing and a lot of it was experimenting, if there's something you particularly dislike call it out
wait, if you're using a 3100 for all these shots, who's D7000(?) with a 50mm1.8 is that?
also I'm still having some retarded issues with flickr pictures showing up half the time, both in firefox and chrome. Not sure what's up.

It's my mates. He came round and we took some photos.
After that photo he proceeded to give me a spare UV filter he had lying around :buddy:
get him on FP
nudge nudge
there's like three of us now already who keep that lens on a D7k constantly :v:
I really want one myself :saddowns:, it's a great camera, I had a good play with it and the lens and was very impressed
Oh the things to need money for
the 3100 is excellent, not sure if the 7000 is exactly worth an upgrade from it.

Now put all of that on your lens and take a picture
Is it bad if I put a lens which only autofocuses on a macro lens backwards with the macro len's macro-o-matic filter on its rear element held together by rubber bands?
Atleast it lets me take creative pictures, stay tuned!
the 3100 is excellent, not sure if the 7000 is exactly worth an upgrade from it.
I more mean the lens, right now, I'm lurking ebay for some good old lenses
The 7000 was great but really I preferred the d3100, 3100 is a lot lighter and easier to get around
only problem with that exact lens (50mm 1.8D) is that the 3100 doesn't have the focus screw it requires, only the 7k.
The NEWER 50mm 1.8G has inbuilt focus (and maybe image stabilizing?), but is obviously much more expensive.
I figured I'd just get an old prime lens on the cheap and save heavily for a 1.4 at the moment, or wait until the new line goes a bit cheaper, but that could take a while unfortunately
well you can't go wrong with the 1.8D, it's barely over $100 and if you can live with the manual focusing, will be the best lens you have.

The newer 50mm 1.8G doesn't have image stabilizing, also it can only stop down to f/16 rather than f/22
I really should've got that 35mm before I left. The 50mm is a bit tight but a 1.6 crop sensor.
I have a photoshoot with this girl on Tuesday.

Bedroom. On your bed.
Bedroom. On your bed.
i should so send her this
it's not an invalid suggestion. 90% of the pictures of people in my old daijitsu flickr were taken in my bedroom or the girl's bedroom; this obviously exclusions are the ones outside and in the stairwell.
disregard money, acquire females
i was in a friends bedroom on his bed.
but i never took any photos

I think that's General Discussion material.
But as a serious suggestion, I've always wanted to do a photoshoot involving lots of different strength colored lights. Something else I've been planning to do is get a model to wear long, flowing, brightly coloured clothing and photograph them in a dark, dirty side street. Pretty generic ideas, but, maybe somebody else can pitch in.
Otherwise, rape is the best option IMHO.

Tried before. Only on f/4.5 and on 60 sec and ISO 1600 I was able to see at least 1 line. It seemed like picture was taken from pipe.
