hey bros
I am in Venice right now and its fucking awesome! I've taken literally about 1000 photos and this is just day 3 of a 2 week journey. also I saw some banksy tags here so fucking stoked.
the internet in the hotel I'm staying at sucks dick (to be expected, the building was built in 1274) so no photos right now (also I forgot my card reader and the files are all mussed up, anyone ever heard of .NEF?), I hope the wifi will be better on the train to Florance tomorrow.
I just got back from Italy. 2x 36 hour coach rides (there and back), fucking tired. Took over 2,000 shots I think. Verona, Venice, Lake Como, Swiss Alps it's all there. Going to take some time to go through them, sleep time now!
that hat on the top is a brixton one isn't it? I own it aswell.
nope, element
I know that some people don't like the vignetting in this one, but I quite like it.

How I imagine most people feel when they're discussing on the internet. Pardon the very pale .. paleness :v:
Made using Photoshop and 2 images taken on canon EOS 450D (Looking into an upgrade, any suggestions? I feel 7D would the next step..)
Exposure is "0.3, because I wanted to bring in the monitors as well, not just keep them black. Taken with flash pointed towards the white ceiling with ghetto on-flash reflector :v:

what lenses have you got? considering how much a 7D is, you might be better off keeping your 450D for now and just get a nice new lens or something, unless you can justify getting one to yourself

A really crappy 55-200mm and a Tamron 17-50mm 2.8
I feel like I've outgrown my 450D, but.. I don't know. We'll see.. Maybe I'll buy a battery grip and that 50mm 1.4 :3:
wtf a 450D is good

if you're thinking of upgrading the body, maybe hold back on getting a battery grip :X
but a 50mm f/1.4 would be good; also consider the sigma 30mm f/1.4 as well
or maybe a sigma 10-20mm or something, all depends on what you shoot

Sigma 30mm? I'll check it out. 10-20mm is a little too wide for me.. Thanks for the advice man, I appreciate it

Could I get some CC on these two (I know that the model is pulling a similar pose, so nothing on that)?

I like the first one. For the second one I think you should have tried a different angle, maybe standing to the left so the background is straighter and getting slightly lower.
Good poses, add some DoF, B-Hazard.
Also, Arthurs Seat/Holyrood park has got to be the most photographed location in this thread.

I'm restricted by my lens, can't get good shallow DoF on my kit lens even wide open.
