Yeah man that shot just sucks
It looks like you cropped a part of your eye out of a shot taken with a crappy point and shoot whilst being out of focus.

Sorry if that's harsh
After all the good photos he took, I was thinking that eye pic was just him trolling.
I attended a rally event which took part on Friday and Saturday. Most of the time I was shooting with my friends' Canon 40D and his epic Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 II. This shit is intense!

They are nice but the composition is a bit weird, especially on the second one.

good point
Most photos I take I never scale down at all, and currently they're all up on dA at about 2000x1128. Could I still post them in here if I put them in img_thumbs/quote thumbs?
Just download Prish resizer goddamn.
Just download Prish resizer goddamn.
Or actually.
I forgot dA resizes the images automatically. So there's the fullsize version and there's the 900x508 versions.

Just take a look at flickr, it's not the best but it's a million times better than DA for photography.

As you can see, I love bugs. Unfortunately, I don't have macro lenses for more detailed photos. I also have some more in my SD, but my internet here is too slow to upload them, sorry.
Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.
You'll probably get slammed for taking macro shots, but these are gorgeously done pictures. The spider especially.

sifting through the first batch of fireworks shots from yesterday, hopefully another show tonight and another tomorrow.
SOOC mothafuckaaaaaas
I'll make a gallery and put it in my photoworks thread later on- or should I make a separate thread about fireworks and we can have a happy 4th thing goin' on?
In all honesty that burns my eyes fuuuuuck

I dunno... I use DA for more than photos... Ah, what the hell, I'll create an account...
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but neither Autofocus nor Manual focus by me seem to get me the sharpness I want. Packed the sharpest two of the bunch I just took together and resized it to uploadable size, tell me what you think.

I guess its not really creative either, but I didn't find the "Creative Photography that doesn't deserve a thread" Thread so I'm posting here anyways.

Try re-uploading to flickr - it gives you a forum posting link that shows a resized version on the page that fits, and is linked to the full size photo.

Well, turn up the aperture. Shallow DOF isn't necessary for some shots to look macro. Find a macro filter to screw onto your lens and shoot at f/8 or f/11, it'll still look shallow, let you focus closer, AND have some good sharpness to it.

I can't find any "forum posting links". Mind directing me?

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. But what do you mean by getting slammed?

Watch that lip boy. Also I think you should choose some more interesting subjects next time, pretty bland and generic all around in my opinion.
Wanting to do some photography other than with friends to gain some experience, so thinking of putting myself up on Gumtree for free. What kind of things do you think I could offer to do shoots of? Weddings are out of the question - not risking me being crap on anything important!
