It's like that so your gun doesn't stick out in a log-cabin environment.
Wood is sexy.

Wood on guns is like vaporwave, it's nostalgic elevator tones.

Kinda weird seeing Marines using the FAMAS
I like the looks. Sort of gives it this uh.. District 9-style near-future sci fi look to the Marines that regular Frenchies don't really have when they use the Famas 'cause it's what you'd expect them to carry.

Somehow we need this in the thread title for everyone who scrolls past to also feel the pain
i feel like they missed the point of a bolt action when they made it into a bullpup
like the motion of cycling the bolt should be smooth and not require an awkward positioning to do so. pretty much every bolt action has the bolt above the trigger for that reason

Let me guess, you are one of those 'obsessive for details' modelists that will plow through archives just to know in which trouser-leg he filled in his phallos to make a perfect imprint of his bottom in one of the tank's seats?
make it stop
Ok, how about a nice-looking California-compliant rifle, the Ares SCR AR-15 lower with bonus wood
[t]https://i.imgur.com/9fgHfhl.jpg[/t]
well seemingly so. there is no valid reason to hold a rifle like that unless it's physically impossible or plain painful. guess it could be the latter given his huge hands and the stock tang mounted ladder sight, but it gives you zero control over a repeatable trigger pull when you have nothing pushing against the stock during the pull.
Did you forget that your shoulder is pushing against the stock? Unless the trigger is really heavy, you can have complete control of the trigger pull without your thumb. It may feel weird, but it works.
In Suicide Squad, the SEALs are wearing a special camouflage pattern that was developed for the film called "Bravoflage". It's made from a bunch of other patterns and I guess the colors are intended for nighttime use.

Went to the Royal Ontario Museum, and saw these old Japanese matchlock rifles and pistols. Pretty damn neat, especially how they're stylized similar to Japanese swords and daggers; probably for intimidation or something.

I personally hope at some point down the line whenever the M16/M4-style weapons the US military currently uses start getting so old they're just plain outdated that we switch a bullpup for our standard issue rifle for the Army/Marines, since there's so many modern bullpup designs out there to utilize.
