at some point i wonder if someone realized that if they made it not so cannoney they could shoulder it and actually hit something
obviously someone had to make the leap between hand-cannon and musket
supposedly its cheaper than the MP line to manufacture but since the MP and all the g3 babies show no sign of ever going out of style they just have a slightly cheaper gun and the gun everybody else wants
pretty much any conversion will use a connecting rod since the trigger group is always at the back.
Alright but what about non-kit conversions like the Famas and VHS and basically bullpups built as bullpups from the ground up.

I was under the impression that ISIS is facing serious materiel shortages.
It's a VHS-2 alright, and also if anyone is wondering the soldier wielding it is part of the Kurdish Peshmerga. They received an aid shipment of 20,000 VHS-2 rifles from Croatia.
That's actually an Iraqi SWAT/Police Commando. Compare his patch to these guys. They also bought VHS-2s

Also you can see other Iraqi policemen in the background with their blue digital camo uniforms. Peshmerga troops are mostly wearing woodland camo
South Korea's K12 medium machine gun is interesting.
Instead of just buying FN MAG variants like most of the world, they decided to make their own 7.62mm machine gun by basically scaling up the Minimi.

But what's that shit going on at the stock area? Well, they also decided that instead of having mounted variants and handheld variants, they'd just make one gun.

You just yank those two pins out, take the whole spade grips assembly off and the stock extends and rotates into a locked position just like a Minimi Para's, bam, handheld machinegun.
Jezails are cool

But it comes with a detachable spade grip! How cool is that?
Cool and cost effective
I'm not entirely sure how useful spade-grips are except in dedicated mounted positions; and even there they aren't the very best.
I want one of these for some reason:

ya i figure he's got a purpose for everything there
I know Destiny might not be that popular here on FP but IMO the game has some really cool weapon designs. Now, aside from the hundreds of smaller unnamed weapon manufacturers there are three major arms corporations in the Destiny universe:
SUROS, Häkke and Omolon.
More or less the brand-whore of weapons (Apple, Microsoft etc.) SUROS guns have really sleek designs and high-tech gadgets such as projected holographic sights and fancier digital ammo counters. They are often white and red with the brand name printed out in big bold letters. Not very tactical.
Barebones and with dark colors, Omolon stand out because A) most of their guns look like they're not even finished and B) because they use liquid ammo (yes, you read that right). Ammo counters are replaced with a tiny window showing (in a literal manner) how much juice you have left before you need to reload.
Finally there's Häkke which doesn't only have a hundred different ways of pronouncing the name but it's also the only arms manufacturer in Destiny which have a more tactical and war-torn look. They're my favorite because of that.
With that said I wanted to share some Häkke weapons which includes a space Spas-12 out of all things.

I like the AFG mounted on a massive revolver.
I like how the autorifle looks like the unholy child of a SCAR-H, ARX-160, and an ACR.
Lovely.
I like the AFG mounted on a massive revolver.
Yeah the handcannons in Destiny could all use grips because the recoil kickback is insane.
(Although it's hilarious to watch some poor enemy get two thirds of his life chipped away with a single shot.)
I might take pics of some of my Omolon and SUROS guns to just so you can see the difference between them all. You can say alot of stuff about Bungie but they do know how to make proper dakka.
I don't genuinely don't know why when the AK12 failed to meet requirements of the Russian army that they didn't just ask for a new design that allowed them to just upgrade their existing hardware.
As for this thing. Is it really practical to turn any weapon into a airbust gun?
Btw airburst munitions are only feasable when you have a large enough space for the explosive. The smallest smart-fuzed shell I have heard of is 30mm, though I imagine if you really wanted you could stuff a time delay fuze and explosive into something smaller.
If you tried to put explosive into anything smaller than 12.7mm rounds you pretty much have a fire cracker, and even at 12.7mm its a pretty tiny explosion.
The CV-90 has some pretty cool airbursting rounds.
