Agree, but this is the only legal way you can own one without a Class III license.
Why is the whole "class III license" myth totally ubiquitous? There's no such thing as a class III license, but almost everybody thinks there is.

It's an easy mistake to make IMO. People hear NFA dealers referred to as "Class 3" (Actually a Special Occupations Tax thing) and assume it's a licence when it actually means they hold either a Type 1 or 2 FFL.

Cause affordable.
Mateba would be way fucking cooler though.

Simulated fire for training?
It's a radar. Because reasons.
Can detect a human moving at walking-speed at up to 900 meters, and a truck driving at out to 3 kilometers, even in complete zero visibility. How useful it actually is for aiming, I don't know. Probably none at all, but useful for detecting shit.
[editline]28th November 2015[/editline]
Actually might be somewhat useful I guess, at least for area/suppressing fire. The angular accuracy is within 15 degrees, and the distance measurement within 50 meters.
I know the US has been using panel-type phased array radars with ground troops for a while. Not as weapon sights though.
Some Ghost Recon Future Soldier shit going on there, really.

Except for the fact with its stamped metal casing it looks like it came out of the 60s.
It also has some kind of valve like you would see in old Soviet planes when you're playing DCS.
someone posted this in the ksp thread

the concept is interesting, same idea that the skycrane had, you can just load up these units on the ground or switch them out for each mission, then just quickly slot it onto the plane, never took off but that plane looks really fast without the cargo container

It probably flies like shit without the cargo container even if it is technically faster.
Cargo vehicles are designed around the assumption that it's going to be carrying cargo, which means they often behave erratically without it. For example, a semi truck without a trailer has an extremely bouncy ride as the shocks are set up for a huge load in the back.

oh ya it probably flew like crap, the center of mass is probably all messed up, but it does look sleek without it, looks almost like an aluminum mosquito

is the deagle the best example of a firearm designed for novelty eschewing all practicality?
like when would you ever use it in place of another more efficient or capable gun?

the desert eagle is a semiautomatic designed to fire high-power revolver loads, including .357 and .44
you can mount a scope effectively due to the fixed barrel and it has a higher capacity than comparable revolvers
it's perfectly practical for hunting and wildlife defense, and it's probably a terrific shooter in .357

These are the examples I can think of.
1) For when the bear you just shot keeps running at you.
2) When you want a really expensive club.
3) For when you only need one shot.
While designed for big game hunting, if you conceal carry it the whole point is for intimidation. Let's say you're a robber, if you were sober and had any sense left in you, you'd think twice about continuing if a full sized D.Eagle was pointed at you compared to a .25 Auto, .22, .38, 9mm. The whole logic is bigger = more intimidating. The problem with Eagles is that they are gas operated, so if you are not using jacketed rounds (use lead cartridges in a Eagle and you've got a new paper weight) without enough velocity there is a guaranteed chance you won't be able to fire off two or three rounds before a jam.

not that you want to shoot .357 often for fun...
As shitty as it is weapon wise, I just love the Desert Eagle, it's goofy as all get out and I love it

I don't really like how it tapers into just a barrel.
When it comes to long pistols, I like it to be the same thickness the way through.

I can't help but feel that all that material would make it too ridiculously heavy.
I mean, a standard Deagle's already 2kg as is, with an extended barrel that big it'd probably get up to AR-15 levels of weight.

I'm gonna get a 10" .44 barrel for mine eventually. Cause you know, a dollar a shot is kinda expensive. Plus I don't have the equipment to do reloads.
I wanna use it to go hunting whenever I move back stateside. Pistols are so much more fun then rifles.
