Kinda wish America did big military parades like this. Yeah they're kinda fascist-y and propaganda-y, but fuck man they're so cool.
Ya but we make it a point to not to polish the stick and gloat about how strong the stick is, instead we just use the stick
Ya but we make it a point to not to polish the stick and gloat about how strong the stick is, instead we just use the stick
Still, a bit of polishing and gloating once in a while couldn't hurt. [editline]14th October 2015[/editline] I mean look at that shot at :07, the way it moves from a tracking shot to a panning shot. Ungh, so cinematic. If military parades come back in style, we need to clone Leni Riefenstahl to film them.
Why does it need a stock? I get it you're more accurate resting against it but fuck it, anything that looks even remotely like a "bolter" is pure sex to me.
stocks like these are made to be fired shouldered while the operator has a ballistic visor for his helmet down like so :
Anything with a red dot can basically be fired without a stock anyways, the whole point of red dot optics is to give you a clear scope picture [editline]14th October 2015[/editline] I always find it interesting that THAT was the gun of hl2, it was pretty shit, and had no immediately redeemable characteristics
judging from most of these posts on this thread, i feel like i'm the only person who came on this thread just to look at cool guns and not discuss or post anything
But you still gotta control the recoil.
ya but most users don't spray anyways, and forward grips are good enough for burst fire, the mp5 has a variant without a stock for just that reason and you can use it in even closer quarters than the stocked mp5
I'm guessing you know all this because you are an operator and fire mp5/7's all day long during your busy training/work schedule.
honestly i just watched forgotten weapon's video on police weapons he put out a week ago, idk why people are getting all pissy about this, sub machine guns aren't used by actual special forces or swat as a machine gun, they use them as a small rifle, and there are plenty of bad situations where they have to enter through small rooms, and not having a stock is a great way to keep the weapon usable in tight quarters all i said was you don't need a stock with a red dot sight because a red dot is meant to help you get a sight picture regardless of lining your eyes up with the sights
Stocks give more than recoil control. It gives you a stable pivot point to aim the weapon from.
i always thought the m-72 LAW was a good idea but sort of fell short of being a match for the rpg in terms of utility, though im not an expert at all in how the army would even deploy rpgs
The LAW was under powered even when it was brand new to the field. It got better use as an option to deal with fortified positions though, sort of acted like a bridge between the blooper and a mortar for its use. Then it was phased out by the AT4. I still love how portable the LAW was though.
But isn't the M72 still in service :v:

As I understand it the latest LAW has just enough HEAT capability to kill IFVs with the rest of the warhead weight dedicated to frag and HE.
Follow-up shots, mate. Follow-up shots. You don't have to go full auto to need to be able to stay on target, even a one-shot-per-second rate of fire will be a lot more accurate if you can keep your gun pointed precisely instead of having to re-point it all the way. If you can in any way have room for a stock, you should use a stock; compact SMGs and machine pistols are only sometimes used stockless because there is no room for the stock. [editline]15th October 2015[/editline] The stock is there to lock your weapon somewhat with the position of your body instead of just your arms. You know what's attached to your body? Your head. And in your head is your eyes. If your eyes and your weapon are at least somewhat connected through a sturdy piece of your body like your shoulder instead of mobile limbs such as the arms only; you have much, much better ability to make sure you and your shooty-thing is looking at the same thing.

The Sten only cost (back in the 1940's) like, £5 to produce. Can't remember how much exactly.

Neill Blomkamp showing off a Pulse Rifle from the new Alien movie he's working on [t]https://scontent-yyz1-1.cdninstagram.com/hphotos-xaf1/t51.2885-15/e35/12135336_512027265626488_1666684697_n.jpg[/t] Optic is a Sightmark Ultra Shot which is a cheap POS.
Looks right for it though imo. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I like the rails around the barrel. The way the original looked in that regard was my one gripe about it. Also I like the addition of a flash hider.
Is that a sawed-off piece of a spas-12 that he's using as a fore-end?
yeah, they were incorporated into the original props. But i think its profile looks better without a sight on the handle
Is that a sawed-off piece of a spas-12 that he's using as a fore-end?
If it's constructed like the original Pulse Rifle, it's actually a Remington 870 with a cut down SPAS-12 heat shield and forend. Judging from the grip, it still looks like they got a Thompson as the rifle part. I always thought that if they had to make a new Pulse Rifle, they should use a Kriss Vector as the base. You can't go wrong with the classic though. [t]http://www.kriss-arms.com/images/2013/productimages/Vector-SBR-ENHANCED_pl.jpg[/t]
that look cheap as chips
Eh, it sorta looks better than a typical Sten. At least with this you won't have people grabbing the magazine as a grip.
Is that a sawed-off piece of a spas-12 that he's using as a fore-end?
It's in case they also encounter terminators when fighting aliens because Lord knows they're 1° separated from a terminator vs aliens movie
